20 weeks - baby feels like it’s a ball?

Happy New Year ladies Smile.

I’m on my first baby and almost 20 weeks.

On two occasions, I’ve had a feeling of pressure in my stomach; one was to the side of my belly button and the second was in line with my belly button but just on my knicker line. It almost felt like a painless knot of pressure and it feel like a hard ball when I pressed it but all around it/other side of stomach was soft. It only lasts 30 secs/min.

Is this just the baby moving or is it something I need to flag up?

Thank you xx

How big is the ball? Any chance it could be the baby? I had mine pushing himself right against the front of my stomach. My mw says she thinks of it like a little break dancer...

It’s probably baby! Their bottom feels like a ball sometimes.

SirVixofVixHall · 01/01/2021 22:11

Head or bottom probably bottom.

Same as above poster - how big is the 'ball'?
My DS used to stick his butt out all the time - it wasnt until i was past 30 weeks that i could start to distinguish different body parts Grin

Thank you ladies, that’s really reassuring. I like the idea of a dancing baby 🥰

@BeautyAndTheBump1 @Max271 I would say it was about tennis ball size! X

I agree, size of a tennis ball around 20 weeks sounds like their head 😊

Omg I thought I was going crazy. I've had this aswell!
I was 20 weeks yesterday and I've had exactly the same.
I didn't know what it was.
On my left side of my belly button I felt pressure exactly how you describe it. And when I touched it, it felt like a hardened ball! Then it completely disappeared!

Baby pushing it's butt out against your belly

Willowfalls · 02/01/2021 17:08

@SnooperTrooper12345 @Housing101 thank you :) @lilly02 yes! That’s exactly it. I thought I was going mad!!!
