Hi,

I'm looking to buy a book about labour so looking for recommendations.

I'm open to hypnobirthing and keen to hear people's recommendations please!

What's the best book to buy? I want something realistic and not something that makes out labour is a walk in the park!

Thanks in advance!

How To Make Your Birth Better by Siobhan Miller. But you could also do The Positive Birth Company online course for the same info, it’s really great and I’d definitely recommend it. I had my baby 7 weeks ago and it was a very positive experience despite not being 100% ‘on plan’ and a big part of that I would attribute to doing the course with DH before.

I'm currently reading 'How to give birth like a feminist' it's absolutely fascinating, and will hopefully help you to feel empowered about your choices in birth. Only half way through but definitely would recommend.

In terms of what labour is actually like I would also recommend the first episode of podcast 'Birth-ed'
