Changing bag recommendations

Hi, I am almost 30 weeks and looking to get a changing bag. Preferably a leather rucksack style. I was wondering if anyone had similar and would recommend a brand.
I have a NUNA MIXX pram in Birch (black, grey & cream) so thinking of a black or light grey leather ideally.

Thanks!

I'm keeping my eye on one - the Bellaboo Lily Baby Backpack in Pebble. It's vegan leather but is just sooo beautiful! The RRP is £89.99 but they often have discounts taking it down to £59.99 so I am waiting patiently... Grin

I went with Tiba and Marl who do leather ones. When I tried them in the shop though - the leather ones were extra heavy and that was before any baby stuff was in them. John Lewis is a good place to start.

Ah thanks guys. I never thought that the leather one would probably be quite heavy.
I'll keep searching

I have a black skiphop backpack changing bag. It's not leather but I love it. It came with two pods one which was insulated. Has plenty of room and wee clips on the straps to clip onto the pram. Two years on and I'm still using it.

Also have the skip hop. It's big and light.. but with lockdown has had only one or two uses so far

I have the pacapod hartland vegan leather rucksack in gunmetal and love it. Not the cheapest but nothing gets lost or jumbled up. You might be able to pick up a bargain in the January sales

Following with interest.. I'm looking for one too, but they all look changing bags which I don't like!

Leather is really heavy - you don’t want that! I used a fyallraven backpack for a changing bag with a skiphop pronto mat inside. There’s no magic to one made specially for changing other than they usually charge much more for them.

Me too, I'm after a trendy rucksack. Thinking I may just invest in a standard changing bag to go under the pram and a nice rucksack for mama 😂

The best thing about pacapod is their pods - 1 insulated for bottles, or later on their food, and 1 with pockets just the right size inside for nappies, wipes, antibac gel and nappy cream.
You can copy their idea by getting a nappy wallet or something similar. I bought one of these from the baby and toddler show a few years ago and it lives in the bottom of the pram. I then copied it and made a few more, one for each car for emergencies. They have proved their worth!

Meant to say shove the nappy wallet in any rucksack you like. You'll still need a changing mat.

I think skip hop do a similar zip out thing, complete with changing mat that you could shove into any bag.

DappledThings · 05/01/2021 20:20

Get a normal backpack. Much better value than anything with the baby make-up on it. Changing bags are one of the biggest scams going when it comes to baby stuff!

SubParbanMum · 05/01/2021 20:22

I wouldn’t and won’t bother with one but dc2. had the skip hop portable changing mat for DS which has room for wipes and bags which clipped onto the buggy or my bag.

peachypetite · 06/01/2021 10:12

I really recommend the aldi changing backpack. Comes with a mat and lots of space and is really cheap.

I have the Pacapod Harltand too and love it. Mine is navy blue. I got it for half the full price in the sale at Mamas & Papas. John Lewis also had it in the sale. It's light, well made and the pods are brilliant.
