Hello!

The nausea has begun Envy
Does anyone have anything that really helped them to ease this??
Looking at ginger capsules, not sure if they're ok to take??
Any tips appreciated x

I've pops, Bari o type sweets and plain crackers...

Tumblebugsjump · 01/01/2021 01:26

Sorry ice pops!!!

I found rubbery, bland foods like McDonald's helped. I also lived on broth type soups. Ginger biscuits help short term. Not ginger tea, it's rank. Peppermint tea if you can, that really settled my stomach!

Soft mints!

Flat Ginger beer (non alcoholic stuff obvs). That's what I sipped when I felt nauseous and it really did seem to help.

Don't let your your blood sugar get low. Keep something by your bed to nibble on when you wake up, something to eat in your handbag, etc.

Lemon and ginger tea. Crystallised ginger. Ginger biscuits. Salted crisps.

Wearing some travel sickness wristbands has helped take the edge off for me

Eat little and very often! I found hot Ribena (full sugar version) a life saver. I carried a lunch bag round everywhere with me full of cheese and crackers and scones with butter and jam so I always had something ready to eat!

I also kept a packet of rich tea fingers next to my bed and literally had a couple the second I woke (couldn't be normal rich tea for some reason 🤷🏻‍♀️😆)

Nothing worked for me, water was a trigger, but making sure I had food that contained lots of fluid was a good tip. So, clear broths, honeydew melon, fresh peas etc.

Meredithgrey1 · 01/01/2021 09:11

Sea sickness bands
Ice lollies
I went off water so drank squash which was a bit better
Juicy Granny Smith apples seemed to settle my stomach
And I’d eat raisins one at a time when I could barely face anything, just to get some food into my stomach
Cyclizine from the Dr

Cocopops2017 · 01/01/2021 09:27

Sea bands and ready salted crisps seem to work for me

coffeeandjuice · 01/01/2021 09:29

Don't let yourself get too hungry. Make
Sure you take multivitamins on a full stomach else they can make you sick

inthenightsky · 01/01/2021 12:13

Thanks all for the ideas!
I have some peppermint tea and ginger/lemon tea in the cupboard so I'll get on that :)
I had some ginger biscuits for breakfast!
Ready salted crisps also gonna be a good one to stomach I think!
