Hello ladies . 6+5 due 20th August (estimated) hcg at 5k this morning.

Is it normal to be this anxious and terrified of something happening? I know you shouldn't wish time away but I'd love a time machine to the scan to know everything is ok. I feel sick with worry let alone any morning sickness!

hi @Cordial11 honestly, I feel exactly the same! so if that's anything to go by then totally normal. this is my first pregnancy & I only found out on Sunday so it still hasn't sunk it properly, it was a bit of a shock but I know so much I want this baby because of how scared I am something is going to go wrong. like you I keep wishing I could see into the future, I think the fear of the unknown is the worst. I just keep telling myself that there is no point in being paranoid & ruining today worrying about something that might never ever happen. big virtual hugs to you 🤗

I have 5 DC. I got terrible anxiety with each pregnancy which tapered off after the birth.

It’s completely normal, especially during lockdown when people are more anxious anyway and with little to distract your attention.

Hi, I feel exactly the same!! I’m constantly googling and searching to which is making me a worse. The slightest twinge or belly ache or trapped wind pain and I just think the worst. I’m only 4+4 and booked an early scan for when I’m 7 weeks but I just can’t calm myself until then.

@katie416 I found out Saturday to! Complete suprise and I only tested as I do every month due to such irregular periods. Nearly fell over in shock Wink

I am not in the UK ( my family is) so blessed not to have lockdown .

I have been referred for early dating scan which I can have from next week so fingers crossed. Calling in the morning to schedule. I may wait till 8 weeks to hopefully see more as seeing nothing at 7 if it's too early might make me panic again !

@Cordial11 glad it's not just me that was so shocked then too! I'm usually really regular but I was nearly a week late, thought it was the stress of Christmas etc blah blah I'll just do a test to make sure & when I saw them two little lines I was like OMG Shock haha! aw that's really lucky!! for both the no lockdown & early scan. I rang my doctors yesterday & they didn't really want to know, they have just referred me to a midwife & told me she will be in touch, I think I'll feel better once I've spoken to someone 'in the know'. hope your scan goes well Smile

You're not alone OP! I was scared to so much as move during the first few weeks incase I 'dislodged' the baby.

The only advice I have is to try and distract yourself as much as possible Smile (but do speak to your GP if you find it difficult to cope).

Good luck with your pregnancy Flowers

I am the same! I am 9 weeks tomorrow and worry about every twinge I get wondering if “this is normal”....... My advice to you which I have found has helped me in the last week or so, stay off Google as much as you can! And if you do need to look something up, stick to the NHS website or speak to your midwife (if you have been assigned one yet) or your GP Smile

@katie416 hm that's abit rubbish being abit fobbed off. I went in Tuesday and got my bloods the referral for scan and had my blood results . Yes I would of love to capture your face it was probably like mine of WHAT?! Shock haha

@Milkshake7489 haha yes I sneeze and feel guilty! Worrying no symptoms then any twinge or nausea I worry to . No winning haha!

@sunshinecitrus1 thank you! Yes staying well away from google. I have a lovely lovely female GP who specialises in woman's health and fertility which I was ironically going to for pcos and tyroid . Then fell accidental on natural cycles and pull out Shock I had to see a different GP this week due to the holidays but in with her next week and I know she'll reassure me Smile
