Im 6+5 and had similar spotting at the same time so I wouldn't worry, its likely just implantation bleeding! Its also an early sign of pregnancy for many according to my good friend Google!

Cordial11 · 30/12/2020 18:57

My spotting was a similar time frame. Now 6+5 and hcg levels good.

xem87 · 30/12/2020 18:59

I did a clear blue test earlier and it said 1-2 weeks and still lines on cheapie test xx

My period was due 25th Dec could it still be implantation now? Xx

Implantation bleeding can last for weeks OP as the embryo buries deeper. Also there's barely any blood at all I had to squint to see it so I really wouldn't worry xx

MellaY · 30/12/2020 19:21

Thats only 5 days since so I'd definitely say its possible and I had a little more blood if that makes you feel any better Hmm
Also if you have had sex recently bleeding as a result of that is also fairly normal in the first trimester. My partner and I had a bit of a celebration Wink after my BFP which lead to me bleeding a little later that day and me having an absolute heart attack

xem87 · 30/12/2020 19:25

Thank you so much both you have made me feel better! Just worrying! Have you both been having like period heavy feeling too? Like period is going to start lol xx

I had a bit of bleeding around this time. More than this. Like when you first get spotting on your period. All was fine. Most likely implantation bleeding.

katie416 · 30/12/2020 19:38

@xem87 I'm 5 weeks + 3 & had a tiny bit of spotting like this yesterday. it was really a very small amount & nothing since fingers crossed so I've put it to the back of my mind. definitely have the period feeling though, very dull ache really low in my tummy & backache, I have googled (oops) & it says it's very normal for early pregnancy to feel a bit crampy as long as it's mild x

MellaY · 30/12/2020 19:46

My first pregnancy symptom was feeling like I was getting period cramps without actually getting my period! I've had the exact same period since I started getting them so that's how I knew something was up

xem87 · 30/12/2020 19:55

I'm hoping no more fingers crossed xx
Have you registered with a midwife yet? I haven't even done that 🙈 xx

SirVixofVixHall · 30/12/2020 19:58

I had stronger spotting than that with implantation, lasted about a week I think . It doesn’t look at all concerning, I wouldn’t worry unless it gets a lot heavier.

SirVixofVixHall · 30/12/2020 19:59

Mine was around five weeks too. All was fine.

xem87 · 30/12/2020 20:03

Thanks all 😍 does anyone who's around 4/5/6 weeks want to make a what's app group to support each other? I was going to do a post on here to see if anyone wanted too. It's hard as no family / friends know so this groups good! Xx

MellaY · 30/12/2020 20:24

I had my first contact today, I arranged it a few weeks ago via my GP. I wanted to talk to medical professionals ASAP due to it all being a surprise and the fact I'm relatively young so all my friends of a similar age are at Uni still. A group would be amazing though

katie416 · 30/12/2020 20:44

@xem87 I rang my doctors yesterday expecting them to want me to come down or drop a urine sample off so they could confirm but they didn't really want to know haha! just said if I'd had positive tests then that was enough. they have referred me to a midwife though & said she will be in touch but not heard anything as of yet. I am up for the whatsapp group, let me know if you post on here about it, I have also seen others on here do threads such as 'due in August / September 2021' etcSmile I think I am due around 29th Aug x

Noornie · 30/12/2020 22:24

@xem87 if you like come across to the September 2021 babies thread - we’ve got a Facebook group going and are all around that 3/4/5 so it’s great support :)

That spotting is very, very minor. It could absolutely just be implantation. Try not to worry Flowers

xem87 · 30/12/2020 22:40

Aw thank you @Noornie i will join! I've been toilet a million times checking tonight got period like cramps but not got any heavier so praying that's good xx

Suzi888 · 30/12/2020 23:35

I had what seemed like a normal period, (we weren’t trying for a baby.) I just presumed it was a period, it was quite heavy and lasted a few days.
I had period pains almost all the way through my pregnancy, worse at night and then right at the end braxton hicks.

xem87 · 31/12/2020 06:28

It's like this now not sure what to think 🙁

MellaY · 31/12/2020 08:18

According to my dates I think I'm due August 20th? I rang my doctors and tbe conversation pretty much 'Hi im pregnant, what do I do now?' and they made an appointment for me. I was fully expected a blood test or to have to pee in a cup but then again im very used to medical testing after a period of ill health in my teens and think its way more normal than it probably is

katie416 · 31/12/2020 10:11

@xem87 I know how worrying it must be for you Sad sorry I don't have the answers but hopefully others will have to reassure you. apparently spotting in early pregnancy is very common so try not to worry. before I went to bed last night I had some really light brown discharge & I have hardly slept thinking about it, hoping everything is okay.

xem87 · 31/12/2020 14:06

Heavy bleeding now so that's me out 🙁🙁🙁

OP posts:
katie416 · 31/12/2020 15:05

@xem87 oh no I'm so sorry Sad have you been in touch with your GP or EPU? honestly I've done lots of research today & apparently even a heavy bleed can have a positive outcome x
