Aches and pains 5 weeks

I’m currently 4.5 weeks pregnant and for the last day or two I’ve had quite frequent dull aches and pains.

I wouldn’t say it’s overly painful and doesn’t stop me from doing anything, but it’s noticeable. Almost like I’ve pulled a muscle on the right hand side.
The cramps can be dull, sometimes sharp and just mild. I’m not bleeding or anything, but just worrying because I’ve miscarried earlier this year and remember feeling pulling and tugging then, but this time it feels slightly stronger.

I’m also not feeling overly sick, which worries me. I’ve had on and off nausea, but nothing major. Is that a bad sign?

Any advice is appreciated?

Hey 😊 I had the exact same around that stage I felt like I was going to have a period but I never did just had the symptoms of one. Dull aches and pains are normal as your body is changing and uterus growing. My symptoms have fluctuated throughout this time. My breasts are not tender lk my last pregnancy and I'm not as sick. I miscarried in September so I'm anxious about everything at the moment. I had a scan at 7 weeks everything was fine but now iv got covid so I'm worrying over that. Xx

Hi @Gabsgills sorry to hear about Covid. What a nightmare. A good excuse for you to relax and just do nothing.

It’s such a scary time after you’ve miscarried. We also miscarried in September and it was so traumatic. I’m not so petrified of every feeling (or lack of).
I guess as long as we aren’t bleeding than all should be positive. As you said, it’s very common to have aches and cramps. I just don’t remember it feeling like this last time. But maybe I’m much for sensitive this time around.
I’m going to book in an early scan (although I’m petrified) but hoping it will give us a piece of mind.
Weirdly, my aches are more when I’ve woken up or laying down and doing nothing. When I’m moving it seems to stop or I just don’t notice it as much. I did pregnancy yoga this morning and that’s really helped it.
Hope you feel better and Covid passes ASAP xx

I had an early scan as my breasts stopped hurting and I had cramping and I was 7 weeks then everything was fine I was so relieved! Iv been quite relaxed the last few weeks but worrying agsin now as the 12 week mark is nearing and plus this covid so as soon as I'm out of isolation I'm booking a private scan to put my mind at rest as my hosp scan not till the 20th lol I can't wait that long!

I get strange aches and niggles all the time but from reading up everything is normal so try and relax 😊 take care hun x
