I had it! Relatively quick and painless to insert and it fell out 10 hours later leaving me 3cm dilated. My waters then broke about 24 hours later but as I didn't go into labour, I still needed to be induced via the drip.

I had it and it's a little uncomfortable having the Balloon insert with the introducer but not at all painful, I had it in for about 10 hours and had no pain while it was insitu and no pain when they took it out. They took it out and I was 3cms and they broke my waters which was all painless again.

I honestly think it's really not a bad experience at all.

I had a shower after waters were broken, did my make up, had breakfast and they started the drip 2 hours after my waters were broken and baby was born within 2 hours.

Best of luck
