Hi.. can anyone help with this one.. I’m 37 weeks +3 and just had the smallest bit of blood ( very red ) on tissue after I wiped.. currently not having any pains but the last few nights I’ve experienced a lot of discomfort that has kept me up.. stomach very tight and have experienced a lot of discharge the last week all clear/white.. this is my first pregnancy so don’t know what to make of this and I’m a bit of an over panicker!

I can’t remember what’s normal, I did have a tight stomach for a few days before and blood when my plug went. I would just ring labour ward or whoever you are supposed to ring, it will say on your green notes.

I would call your care provider and let them know. It's probably nothing concerning but I was always told that if I ever had any bleeding it was good practice to call and let them know.

FWIW it sounds like it could be your plug

I've just come on to add that I had the same this morning!
Baby has also been very active today too, more so than usual. I have a midwife app in the morning I'll mention it then.
Hope all is well with you

Thanks Mumof3almost4 !! Hope all is well with you! I haven’t been feeling baby as much lately but not sure if that’s just due to her having no room.. got 10 kicks out of her this morning all within a 20 minute time frame so I’m gonna monitor it and if no more movements I’ll call my midwife

Have you phoned up about it OP? It's probably nothing to worry about but I'd get checked if you can. I had an undiagnosed placenta praevia with my last pregnancy and the first sign of an issue was a tiny spot of red blood. I went in to hospital convinced they'd just do a scan and send me home reassured but ended up having DS4 that evening.

I can't see any reason not to phone triage at your local maternity unity. Why would you not?

Definitely call. Placental abruption started like that

tobee · 29/12/2020 19:27

I had that with my plug with ds. Was nothing sinister; just start of labour!

tobee · 29/12/2020 19:27

But do call!

XxSTCxX · 29/12/2020 19:30

Thanks guys! Its so hard to tell what’s going on and if I’m over reacting.. sometimes you feel perfectly fine and other days it’s just crazy! But rather but my mind at ease.. I’ll keep posted

I am now 38 weeks pregnant.. last night had DTD with DP.. immediately after I had severe lower back pains that came on and off but quiete frequently.. then progressed into my lower abdomen and tighs? Strange! It was really bad I was crying with pain thinking here we go this could be it. Managed to get a few hours sleep and woke up and pain had gone?? Anyone else experience this? When I looked it up it was sounding like contractions but the fact that it’s disappearing by morning has me questioning it. also (TMI SORRY) had some pink tinged disharged this morning that was quiete liquidy and stringy.. is this a sign of mucous plug or bloody for or is this for DTD? Any help is much appreciated!!

Yeah I woke up at 6am and my thighs were killing, I thought I'd slept funny Confused

Went for a wee and my waters burst on the loo...

XxSTCxX · 02/01/2021 14:20

The last stretch is definitely the hardest! Especially when there’s soo many different labour experiences you just don’t know!! How far along where you?

With my first I had regular contractions after DTD on the Monday for a whole evening, it calmed down and he was finally born on the Friday after labour started properly on Wednesday
. Good luck doesn't sound like you've long left!

XxSTCxX · 02/01/2021 14:40

@Bobojangles thanks so much! Hopefully not! Although after the pains of last night I think I’m scared and want her to stay in as long as possible Grin

38+3 I think - was 8 years ago!

Good luck, seems like your body is getting into gear even if it's not quite there yet.
