Hello all! Thank you for any help you can give. I had a recent miscarriage in October and am having high anxiety now. My period was due 9 days ago, and I tested positive on a FRER test that day. I took another test to see if it had darkened two days ago and it was very dark (yay!). However, I just now took a Clear Blue test (so different brand) that I also had on hand and the line is VERY faint. I should be over 5 weeks pregnant at this point so I'm really concerned that it is coming up so lightly on this. I can't seem to focus on anything else aside from what this might mean. Does anyone have any ideas? Would my HCG still be these low 9 days into a positive test??

I would do an frer to see if there has been progression on it different tests have different strengths

Didn't know clear blue done pink dye ones always been blue dye when I took them in both my pregnancy's

@nicciw87 Thank you for the response. I'm going crazy over here. I don't have another FRER. In all, I had taken three of those that all progressed darker over the week to end on the one in the photo. I just feel so confused how the Clear Blue would still be this light a full week after my first positive. I just can't stop thinking how it must mean my HCG is very, very low still and has just been getting darker on the FRER's because they are so sensitive. :(

Just get an frer when u can and check for peace of mind but its more than likely just because its a different brand if frer was progessing

Oneandabean · 28/12/2020 16:52

Worth remembering tests are designed to tell you positive or negative not how pregnancy is developing. Different brands have different sensitivity and even the frer isn’t likely to go much darker. I understand the stress but best thing you can do is step away from the tests

@Oneandabean thank you so much for replying. It is so true. I know I shouldn't base things on tests, but my anxiety is getting the best of me! It's so hard to be patient when its so early and there aren't many reassurances to go on

@JRose22 it is really hard in those early days. I booked an private scan for 8 weeks and it was so nice. By that point you can see a little jellybean with a heartbeat. It really helped

JRose22 · 28/12/2020 17:37

@Oneandabean that beautiful heartbeat is such a wonderful milestone to hit! These early days definitely feel hard after a loss a couple of months ago. I wish I were more optimistic than I feel!
