Honestly, those that have been through it before...
How long before you felt fully back to yourself?
I'm 3 weeks (2mo) post emergency section, and still feel like I've been hit by a train multiple times.
My wound is sore and infected, there's a hole one side that's leaking fluid.. I did see nurse and gp a week ago and got antibiotics but I'm sure I need more.
My. Mood is so low most days and I just can't be bothered with anything.. Its like im hollow.
So frustrating because I want to get back to some sort of normality and Im struggling to do basic things!

Oh and we have to leave our rental property in the next 6 weeks so that's stressing me out too!

Aw OP sounds stressful especially with having to move! It does get better I promise. About 5-6 weeks for me. I know people who felt great after a couple weeks and some who needed 8-12 weeks. Mine was infected also and I think that definitely slows it down. I cried everyday for 6 weeks after DS due to bad baby blues. Once I felt more recovered this tampered off. Maybe give it another couple weeks and if still feeling hallow, speak to your HV. You don’t want it to turn into PND but if it gets worse speak up ASAP. The first 6 weeks of having my DS were the most stressful/emotional/tired i have ever felt. Be kind it yourself, screw the housework/chores. Concentrate on getting better and cuddling your baby. Also remember you have just had major surgery - women are expected to bounce back but if you had any other surgery like this they would of told you to complete bed rest for 2 weeks. Hope you start to feel better soon xx

So sorry to hear you feel like this. Definitely call your GP tomorrow. I felt fine and ok to drive by 4 weeks. My DH did have 3 weeks off work and I pretty much did nothing except feed the baby and never had issues with infection etc. X
