ANTENATAL CLASSES HELP! Bump & Baby Club or Happy Parent Happy Baby?

Hello, has anyone used 'BUMP & BABY CLUB', 'HAPPY PARENT HAPPY BABY' or joined the 'NTC' Class in CLISSOLD HOUSE N16? I'm due in April 2021 and would love some first-hand advice on any of these classes should you have attended?

They are all booking up fast with only one place left so need to at quickly I think! Bump and Baby Club and the NTC at Clissold Park in Stoke Newington blitz it in one weekend at end of March. The NTC class is 15 hours, where as the B&BC is only 10 hours. Happy Parent looks good, but run on week days after work from 6pm, so although duration is longer so could be more sociable, I will have to make a mad dash from work to home even if via Zoom.

Any advice much appreciated from Stoke Newington locals or any Londoners who have attended these groups. Thanks so so much to anyone for your replies! x

hi @JH123456 - I'm due April 2022 and trying to make the same decision now! What did you decide in the end and do you recommend it?
Thanks.

I ended up doing both Bump & Baby AND NCT. Both had valuable information. I think I got a bit more info out of NCT as more detailed and over longer period of time. However, the Bump & Baby group had about 10-12 couples all in same area and we meet up all the time now which is brilliant. We have a mums WhatsApp group where we chat daily too. The NCT group, there were only 5 couples and they paired us with others who were more London Fields way - it was during lockdown and they must have not had many people for our specific class during this time. The smaller group was great for absorbing more info during the class, but on the WhatsApp group there is not much engagement and we don’t meet up much (although all lovely). If I had to pick one, I would definitely go for Baby & Bump in local area as for me, it is the most sociable for after I had the baby. If you were still thinking about NCT, you could ask how many were expected to be on the course first.. Or do what we did and do both and make a wider network of mum friends! Most important thing is doing one in local area so you can easily meet up afterwards (info is probs all much of muchness!).

@JH123456 thanks for posting this! Can I ask if it was only 3 classes for bump and baby? Considering booking the exact location you did as live very close, would you say it was worth it and if you had a partner with you did they enjoy it? Thanks x

I think B&B was only two classes over a whole weekend. Husband did it with me, but it was via zoom as during lockdown. Brilliant for making mum friends after which is great. Info was okay! I did NCT and hypnobirthing too and got something from all of them.
