C-section heading properly? Warning *wound photo*

Hi, I had a C-section for weeks ago and, while the wound itself seems to be healing well, the skin around it is tight and flaking. Our GP is closed till the new year and I'm not saying the HV till early Jan. The wound has no signs of infection so I don't think it's an emergency, does anyone has an idea why the skin is being weird?

Mine looked like this for a while as well, so don't worry. As you said it doesn't look like an infection.
Is there any chance your underwear is rubbing on the scar?

That's reasurring, thank you. I have giant pants still but they do rub at night sometimes. Hmmm..

Hiya, I had a c section scar that got infected around 6 weeks and yours looks nothing like that. Mine had little open wounds and was oozing gunk and blood. X

My skin has only just stopped flaking around my incision and the actual incision is long healed. I'm 13 months on from my C-section.

I've had a couple of sections and your scar looks very good x mine started to get a bit flaky skin around it too so I just rubbed a little sudocreme on in a evening and it soon sorted it out x

Doesn’t look infected so I’d say not an emergency. It looks like it’s healing well. The skin and tissue has been ‘assaulted’ so I’d think flaking and tightness during the healing process is normal. I had obvious bruising after my c-sections which was alarming but was lucky all healed well. Obv do ask for medical advice if you’re really concerned.

Looks absolutely fine. I am a surgeon. Xx

Thanks everyone! It's a relief to get positive feedback on it. Thankfully it feels fine.
