Is this weird?

I have no idea what to do with an electric breast pump that I no longer need! I used it once, and then it got packed away and forgotten about.
I don’t want to just chuck it out if someone else could use it, but does anyone actually buy second hand breast pumps?? Would that be weird?

A friend of a friend gifted me their electric breast pumps which I was initially revolted by. But then I knew they had been sterilised which I also did again and saw how much the ones she had given me were to buy new and so I got on with it!

I then passed them to a friend once I had finished with them and I think she’s passing them into someone else now so I from what I’ve seen there doesn’t seem to be an issue.

Thanks for your reply! I would happily have done this as it seems a bit less weird, but all my friends are done having babies. Literally no one I know to pass it on to 🤷‍♀️

I have seen them come up on FB marketplace a few times so people do sell/buy used ones, especially if it's a good one. Worth a try, you never know who may be in need but can't afford a new one 🙂

That’s the thing, they’re flippin’ expensive! I paid nearly £100 for it. I’d happily give it away to someone who could use it.

As long as it has a ‘closed’ system then it can be fully sterilised for multiple users. If it’s an ‘open’ system it could be useful for parts.

I've bought a second hand one and sold it again when I'd finished with it.

What is the model, OP? Open system pumps like Medela Swing are single user only.
