Are pizza places pepperonis ready to eat pepperonis or are they raw?

Just ate papa johns pizza with pepperoni on it but the nhs says if it's ready to eat they are safe

Because the cheese was over the pepperoni they didn't get to crisp so I'm praying it's cooked properly can't afford to be sick I'm 37weeks

I thought cold meats like salami/pepperoni needed to be cooked through and eaten hot when pregnant. As long as the pepperoni was cooked on the pizza and piping hot, its fine. Could you see any singes around the meat?

Yes this is fine. It's essentially salami - the fact of it being through a hot oven is enough even though it didn't get crispy.

Pepperoni is so thin you would have been fine as long as the pizza was cooked.
