Bugaboo or iCandy?

Please can you tell me if you think bugaboo or iCandy is a better push chair. I am pregnant with my first baby and will look to have another in 1/2 years time

Baby isn’t here yet so I can’t comment on using it, but we have gone for the iCandy Peach. We had really fallen for the Bugaboo Fox 2 on paper (it is stunning to look at) but when we went to try them out, we didn’t like the way it pushed. We also didn’t like the lack of telescopic handle as there’s quite a big height difference between me and DH. Neither of us fancied having to faff with the clips either side every time we swapped over pushing the pram. Its carrycot is also not approved for overnight sleep, which was a big negative for us.

We didn’t like the Cameleon at all and didn’t want anything as small as the Ant. DH didn’t like the look of the iCandy Orange and Lime as much as the Peach.

In the end, we were torn between the Peach and the Uppababy Vista 2. I’d have been happy to buy either but DH definitely preferred the Peach. Try to get somewhere to try them out when you can. We took the first opportunity we could when out of lockdown to get to John Lewis and have a push of as many as possible!

Hope that helps!

Thank you that was really useful. I will go back to John Lewis soon and try them again. Funny enough it was between the iCandy Peach and the Vista as well for me (until a friend of mine threw the bugaboo in the mix) it can get confusing! I will have a much better idea of practicality of each when I go and look at them again to compare. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy x

We have an icandy peach which is over 2.5yrs old as purchased for 1st ds and as he can't walk yet I have ordered another seat to make it a double. Love the pushchair still looks new and great to push, worth the money if u want to use again for 2nd dc x

If you live anywhere near Camberley in Surrey there is a shop called Babygear which stocks the peach and the Vista 2 so you can compare them side by side. I recently done this and decided on the Vista 2 in the end.
If not, have a look on Icandys website to see which smaller shops locally stock it then check their website to see if they stock the others your interested in. It's definitely worth comparing side by side if you can in the same shop 🙂

I had the Bugaboo Bee and bloody loved it. Turns into a great toddler pushchair too.

We have the icandy orange which converts into a double so perfect if you have babies close together. We liked the look of the bugaboo but what put us off was the faffing with the clips to raise/lower the handle. The icandy handle you can move up or down with one hand so just seemed to make everything easier. We spent loads of time in John Lewis playing with them and in the end decided the icandy was more manoeuvrable and generally easier for us to use. It's been fab and very robust.

We had the vista. It's great. We have really tested it on dog walks etc and have no complaints!
It is large and takes up a lot of boot space though, so if I was going to be doing more pavement walking I might look at something else

I have the icandy lime. Living in a city, the peach was a bit stocky and I didn't need all terrain wheels. We tried out the bugaboo fox2 in JL, it was much more of a faff to collapse and you got more for your money with the icandy.

I candy massive here. Got the I Candy peach for our first due in April :)

Don’t know if you’ve made a decision yet but we went for icandy peach. This was purely because my cousin bought one almost 8 years ago and my sister is now using that same one for my niece who’s coming up 18 months old. Still manoeuvres really well, folds down and sets up easily, and the frame isn’t too big in the boot of the car, it’s just the carrycot that takes up space but that’s probably going to be the same with any brand. Never had any issue with it and never needed to replace any parts as far as I’m aware.

More expensive but I wanted a brand I know will last and tbh I don’t have much experience with any others. The others we looked at were much bulkier when folded down so took up more boot space. I also liked that the carrycot can be used for overnight sleeping, convenient if we are away for the night for any reason!
