Quinine medication is bad but does that include the quinine in tonic - I hope note as its the only drink I fancy.

Hi,
this is not advice, i only liked tonic and soda water until 14 weeks, now i cant stand the drink, my cellar is full of it. i have to wait until feb to drink it.

never heard it mentioned that you can't but then i hate the stuff so maybe haven't paid attention!

i was advised to steer clear when i was pregnant ( due to the quinine) but that was eight years ago.

tonic water has been the only fluid that I can keep down. The midwife didn't seemed bothered when I told her, she felt it was most important to have fluids what ever the nature. She even said to drink coke if that was all I could stomach.

I read it was good for you because the quinine keeps the legs cramps away
