Compound W while pregnant

I used Compound W which is a wart remover on my foot while I was 7 weeks pregnant. However I realized that is contains 30% salicylic acid and now I'm freaking out. Has anyone else use this while pregnant and this early on?

Don't panic.

It is possible that a minuscule amount could have been absorbed into your bloodstream through your skin, however some women are actually prescribed aspirin (salicylic acid) in low doses during pregnancy and there would be higher amounts in their bloodstream as a result of taking it orally.

If in doubt, call a pharmacist in the morning and they'll be able to reassure you (I ended up doing this a couple of times when pregnant, they were always happy to help).

Thank you @Poppins2016. I took your advice and called a pharmacist this morning. At first he told me there wasn't a lot of studies showing the effects of tropical salicylic acid in pregnancy... But he did later reassure me that I shouldn't worried since the absorption wouldnt have been much to cause any worry.
