Low Papp-A 0.3 worried!

Hi all,
I am 15+6 today and have already had my 16 week appointment and at the time the blood results from my screening test weren't back yet. However my overall result for downs and edwards/patau were low risk (1/1110 and 1/6700).

Yesterday on my online pregnancy notes the bloods have been uploaded to say low papp-a 0.3 and I appear to have been booked in for serial growth scans. From the notes I assume a letter is in the post to me informing me about it as nobody has phoned me to let me know.

I just wondered if anyone has had low papp-a and has any advice, obviously I've googled which probably wasn't the right thing to do!

Hi @Amethyst2502 I was 0.2 and so referred for growth scans. DD was born 7 pounds 13, nowadays she's very tall for her age!

It's just a precaution, try not to worry, the scans are very much a just in case measure.

Had low papp a with my first. Had regular scans and took aspirin from 12 weeks. He came out 7lb 9 at 40+1. I was induced at term because they thought at 38 weeks he was going to be too big. Otherwise I think they would have let me go over by 7 days.

Also they said after I delivered my placenta looked lovely and healthy.

Hope you find the reassurance you're looking for. I was equally as worried. If I'm told again I wont be.
