Bleeding at 6 weeks

I have only recently found out that I am pregnant and yesterday afternoon I started bleeding quite heavily. I phoned my midwife straight away who forwarded me onto triage over the phone. They said it’s nothing to worry about because i’m so early on and I wasn’t bleeding through pads etc. It hasn’t stopped but lightened over night however I noticed some clots appear overnight and I’m just as worried even though i have told my midwife all this they’ve assured me I shouldn’t worry. This is my first pregnancy and never experienced anything like this before so my mind has went to the worst possible outcome. Does anyone have any positive stories about this, i’ve started to accept I have lost the baby but my boyfriend seems to think everything will be fine, i’m just very scared Sad

Aww I'm so sorry you are going through this. I had bleeding at 6 weeks and had tummy ache and back ache-I was convinced I was miscarrying. I called the early pregnancy unit and they advised I give it a week but when the pain got worse I called the next day and they booked me in for a scan. I had a scan and all was fine-it was just implantation bleeding. I'm really crossing my fingers for you. Sending love x

Really sorry to hear you are going through this.

I also had bleeding at 6 weeks (quite heavy - it trickled down my leg - sorry if that's tmi). I was on holiday at the time but as soon as I got back I went to the early pregnancy unit for a scan and everything was fine.

Try not to worry. I know how hard it is.

Can you get an appointment at the early pregnancy unit? They were wonderful when I went.

I hope everything works out for you Daffodil

Thank you both! @disneymad85 @Missingthebridegene
I’ve to give it a week and test again if the bleeding has gone or if it gets worse give them a call again. I spoke to a woman in triage last night and she didn’t seem to worried either but understands I will be because it’s not something you expect to see. I managed to get booked in for an early scan in 2 weeks and hopefully by then we’ll have more of an idea of what’s going on.
Worst thing I done was turn to google but you just want to find a wee bit of hope to hang onto but i think it’s just panicked me more but it’s settled me hearing your stories so thank you!
Hopefully all goes well just a bit rubbish this time of year but maybe a few days of relaxing will do me good!

I hope you are fine.

I'm also going through a rough time. Went for a scan today measuring 6.1 weeks but no heart beat seen. Panicking I've had a MMC now.

Fingered crossed we are both fine, it's such a horrible feeling not knowing what's going on. X

Sorry to hear you are also going through the same @holypoop

Sending lots of love to both of you

Still in limbo and hoping for the best. Still having a light bleed kinda end of period level and managed to do another test yesterday just for slight peace of mind to try and enjoy my day and it was still positive. I know it’s early after the bleed so not clutching to that. A lot of my “pregnancy” symptoms have came back/ gotten worse (heartburn, morning sickness, insomnia) but again it could mean anything. Hopefully get up to the doctors next week as don’t think i can keep on waiting for another few weeks to find out Sad
@holypoop I hope you’re okay, sending all my love to you at this tough time we’re both going through x
