Could I be pregnant? .. help!

First things first, I will be picking up a test as soon as I can tomorrow!

I have not had unprotected sex and myself and dp use condoms, although we have had sex during fertile period.

My period is usually 30/31 days and I am currently on CD38. Sorry if TMI but I have had wet slippery discharge for about 5 days in a row everytime I wipe. This is unusual for me at this point in my cycle and seems to be consistent with ovulation cm?

From my period calendar I thought I showed symptoms of ovulation on the 18th and 19th December.

Did anyone else have this cm before a bfp?

Both myself and dp have used condoms for over 5 years and no evidence of a recent split etc during use! Surely it won't have failed... Would it 😶

I have no other symptoms, in fact usually my boobs hurt before my period but they havent so far! Strange.

This is a bit of a tongue in cheek thread until i can get my hands on a test and a place for me to write my thoughts (and slightly panic!)

If I was preg it wouldn't be the end of the world.. but not ideal either..! Can't help but feel a bit apprehensive at the moment!

Sorry mixed up my dates -

I thought I showed signs of ovulation this month on the 2nd (CD18) and 3rd December (CD19)

I had that cm this cycle and it was a chemical pregnancy, so I was technically briefly pregnant.

Get a first response test and don’t piss about with a blue dye one!

Could just be an extra long cycle. Sometimes it randomly happens! Let us know what happens with your test! Seems to be hit and miss with discharge for people having all kinds before a BFP. But with what your saying it doesn’t sound likely x

@LividLover I'm really sorry to hear about your chemical pregnancy.

I've got to the age of 30 and my knowledge on chemical pregnancies is limited, sorry if this is a stupid question but are symptoms the same or any different as to a normal pregnancy? I suppose without testing and later developing a period you wouldn't know. Do you have to go to the doctors?

@SRG111 perhaps it is just a long cycle, I had a CD40 cycle back in June, although when I've looked back on the app i can see i ovulated late so it kind of made sense!

I'm beginning to question myself and did i document signs of ovulation on CD 18 and have i documented it on the wrong day by accident!

Not sure if relevant but as I sat up on my bed on Friday I got quite a sharp stomach pain but it didn't really last longer than a few seconds!

There’s only one to find out OP. I have to say that the cm sounds like all of my pregnancies. Hope everything works out for you!

Take a test! It'll show + or - if you're already late.

How do you track your ovulation? Is it by predictor apps or something else?

It's too difficult to call. You could well be pregnant But equally you might not be. Take a test it's the only way.

@SRG111 I do i use the flo app, I usually document my symptoms around ovulation as it helps improve period prediction!

I've been using it for 3 years and its usually pretty spot on with the prediction by a day or two

I had CM like that when I was pregnant. Condoms aren’t 100%.

In the meantime need some mumsnet therapy, writing it down is helping me 🤣

@Sexnotgender oh crikey.. I had read early preg cm usually has a white tint to it.. but clearly this is not the case for all!

Me too! It seems to roughly know when ovulation may have occurred but not always accurate for me! Only downside is that there’s no proof you have ovulated at that time unless you do a OPK and track BBT! You can also have multiple LH surges in a month, so ovulation is sometimes later than thought! It will be interested to see how your symptoms compare to a test! X

Hi OP, sorry not trying to spook you. I don’t recall the consistency exactly, but it was copious and that is what gave me pause and made me test in the first place. I also noticed it had a different “smell” to usual . It wasn't stinky or unpleasant, but just “different”. I had a nose like a bloodhound each time too. Good luck!

@SRG111 thats very true and it could just be late ovulation.. I dont even remember logging the symptoms but I must have!

@sithee GULP! Hmm thats whats alarming me, if it was around my ovulation period I wouldn't think twice.. but 3 weeks late ovulation would be strange!!!!

OK so now I've got cramps but doesn't help me either way!

Morning found a test under my bed (one of the cheapo blue ones) and it came back negative!

Strange cycle this month and still no sign of aunt flo!

You could try an ovulation stick instead of a pregnancy test?

Update - still no period and have felt so irritable past 5 days or so, argh what's going on! (11 days late) 👎

Took another cheapo style test 3 days ago and negative again!

No longer watery cm ..

Just confused whats going on, has this happened to someone else? Perhaps just a missed cycle?

So frustrating! I had a weird long cycle once like that. Maybe you could call your GP and see what they say?
