Hi, any help would be really appreciated. I had my 3rd baby in june and was my 3rd c section in 4 years. I've just found out I'm pregnant again, I'm extremely worried about all the risks, is it safe for me to continue with pregnancy? Thank you in advance

Hi @Robyno49,

I’m pregnant with DC4 after 3 previous c-sections. I’m 28+6 weeks now and have asked A LOT of questions. None of my docs are particularly concerned about another section although I had my last one 7 years ago. As far as I know, the increased risk is pretty minimal. We are more at risk of having placenta attach itself to old scar tissue (my placenta definitely isn’t attached because it’s towards the back - I asked!) and of there being adhesions (I’m hoping that won’t be a problem either because I had loads during number 3 which they dealt with then). Just make sure you ask lots of questions, and let them know you are nervous.

Having a lot of c-sections closer together may well mean our situations are different, so speak to a doc/midwife/consultant to get proper advice.

Good luck!
