Maternity jeans sizes

Hiya has anyone bought
Maternity jeans from H&M? I can't figure out their sizes, it just says s ,m,l etc but what does this mean ? Like what size should I buy if I am looking for jeans size 14 , 16 ?

There is a size guide you click on that brings up the info to help you decide. Looks like -with new sizing-you would be M or L I guess depending on if you are more 14 or 16. Probably best to try some on, their sizes are odd anyway at a size 12 I’ve had clothes ranging in size from 8-14 Confused
