Hey everyone
I'm 19 weeks pregnant today and started feeling my little girls first movements a couple of weeks ago. I haven't felt her move all weekend and unsure on whether or not to be worried about it. This is my first baby and all online advice says that it's completely normal to not feeling anything yet and everyone has different experiences. Her movements are still only faint however they've gotten stronger than when I first started feeling them. Should I be concerned she hasn't wiggled for a few days and contact my midwife? I have my 20 week scan on New Year's Eve and becoming increasingly more worried for it!! I am a super big worrier and I overthink everything so I'm just trying to relax and seek advice from experienced mums :)

You don't need to worry about a pattern until 28 weeks, because until that week there is a crazy amount of space in there. You might feel her one day and not for days after because they're round the back or in a different position. Definitely don't worry about it. X

You won't feel a pattern until at least 28 weeks - even with my twins at 19 weeks sometimes I'd feel them sometimes I wouldn't for a few days. They can very easily change position still at this gestation which can make movement more/less obvious

@skda2805i

I was the same at 19 weeks also first baby, I didn't feel proper movement/kicks etc till after 29weeks. Even now if I lie on my back I can't feel proper ones until I'm on my side and then it's like a disco in their (35weeks now) had a growth scan 2 days ago and was told my placenta is right at the front which the widwife said is why I might not be able to feel much on my back and just keep lying my sides to do my counts.
But usually you don't need to do counts till 28weeks/third trimester so I wouldn't worry too much. Although if your super worried just give them a phone, they are super happy/helpful to reassure you 😊 x
