Hi ladies, just what the title says really. I'm 11+1 today and became unwell with Covid two to three days ago. I had a scan a few days before I became unwell at just over 10 weeks and everything was fine but now i'm terrified as all my pregnancy symptoms seem to have gone away today and I don't feel pregnant at all anymore - just really ill. My midwife hasn't been very helpful, just says to rest and take paracetamol.
Has anyone been in this situation and everything was OK? The NHS website says Covid doesn't cause miscarriage, but anything that's making me feel this bad can't be doing the baby much good surely? My NHS dating scan isn't until January 4th which seems a long way off!

So sorry to hear you have covid - hope you feel better soon! I can quite relate with being 11 weeks, but I may have had it at around 32 weeks pregnant (I say may because this was back in April with no tests!) DS was unharmed and currently sat next to me laughing at our fish. Grin

I also can't relate to the 11 weeks part but I had covid around 22 weeks and was quite poorly with it. I also panicked. I spoke with the head of antenatal and she was lovely and reassuring- she said they've seen lots of women with it during pregnancy- some were very ill, some asymptomatic but babies were fine. They have given me 2 growth scans as a result of having covid though. I had my first one last week and baby was doing great. Just hope it stays that way🙏🙏🙏 but I dont think you need to worry about it. You may be feeling less symptoms because you're just generally feeling rubbish?? Like they're not as noticeable now? I'd just call your antenatal clinic for some advice/reassurance if possible!

Hi Op, I’m about 20 weeks but tested positive this week. I’m asymptomatic (tested as work in healthcare, confirmed PCR) with at max a stuffy nose and now a head full of worries. I phoned the midwife team who were reassuring re moms with covid. I’ve an 11 month old daughter who so far is testing negative! Unfortunately other than waiting it out, there is not much any of us can do.

For what it’s worth, covid isn’t known to impact early pregnancy. They want to scan me again in three weeks (4 weeks after my positive test) to check baba’s growth etc, but don’t want me to attend any face to face appointment before then (understandably).

Hope you feel better soon 🤞.

I tested positive for covid at around 8 weeks! Has caused no ill effects to baby that has been picked up. I felt quite bad but defo not as bad as other people are effected by covid. Try keep your fluid intake up, take your folic acid and vit D and try to keep eating even if its small amounts throughout the day. I was told to watch oit for a high fever and if i couldnt control it to seek advice. Luckily I had no fever!

I haven’t had Covid, but wanted to reassure you about the symptoms. Mine disappeared around week 10/11 and it’s because the placenta takes over. A lot of women experience this around the same time.

Yes! I’m 37 weeks now but had it in my first trimester- everything was fine. I had symptoms and the doctor put me on Azithromycin, I didn’t actually know I was pregnant at the time! I hope you’re ok, just rest and look after yourself xx
