Anyone seen any non gender specific ones that are nice? I've not seen many at all

Good question: they are all hideous. I got a plain creamy "button-nose bear" (or some such bo*cks) one from mothercare and I use it facing down so you can't see the logo: I was absolutely militant before dd was born about "no slogans, no characters" but now she is 16 months I have mellowed.

NorthernLurker · 23/10/2007 14:46

I got green and yellow check type thing from Boots - and I seem to remember John Lewis and some no gender specific ones - it is hard isn't it

claraq · 23/10/2007 15:05

I've got one with ducks on it from Mothercare which isn't gender specific. If you press one side of it is quacks. And dd likes it - which is surely what's important in the long run (rather than trying to satisfy our own adult needs for non-cutesy things, although I draw the line at too many pink ballerinas etc).....

Hi Mrs McSpooky

I got one off the kiddie care website - they had quite a good selection at the time it might be worth giving them a try.

LizaRose · 23/10/2007 15:08

weenotions will make them in the fabric of your choice. Their stuff is gorgeous!

Hey MrsMc!

A vote for the White Company - this is the only equipment thing I have bought so far and I think it is perfect - white, simple and with great removable/washable towelling covers.

I love my (stupidly expensive) Kaloo one - it's also a little baby gym, with a nice soft cover that comes off to reveal a plain cream mat - also folds up and has carry handles and a pocket.

SazzaK · 24/10/2007 09:25

Mamas and Papas do loads, mainly non-gender specific, that match their nursery collections, all nice quality - or White Company if you tend to more minimalist in style...

MrsMcSpooky · 24/10/2007 14:57

Some really good ideas thank you
