Bristol, Bath, Yeovil or Southampton? What antenatal scans did/do you get?

I'm in Bristol and we only get 20 week anomaly scan AFAIK (DS is 15 months now, but don't think this has changed)

In Bristol you get one at 20 weeks.

I'm in Bristol and I got one at 12 weeks and 20ish weeks...

Not sure if I was supposed to have the 12 week - I went for an OSCAR and you're (apparently) not supposed to be offered a dating scan as well if you're paying to go for the OSCAR - but I was offered the dating scan before I'd made any decision and no-one mentioned that it was an either/or situation so... I got both.

Don't think this has happened to anyone else I know!

I think you can be offered a "12 week" scan round here if you are really unsure of your dates. Had friends who went private for 12 scan (is this the OSCAR?)

Anyone from Yeovil have two scans?

Yes the Oscar involves the nuchal fold and various other anomoly screenings, and involves a scan and blood tests along with assessing your 'background risk'.

as for the 12 week 'dating scan' i wasn't even particularly unsure of my dates! They just said 'we offer a dating scan, do you want one?' and I said 'umm, yeah I s'pose' - not really having a clue what 'standard practise' would be, in Bristol or anywhere else!

Still not sure how I ended up with that, both dating and oscar had been done before my booking in appt and my midwife was a bit confused too!

My hospital with ds2 was weston, part of the Bristol maternity set up- one scan at 20 weeks unless uncertain of dates. In Taunton I ahd (and sister had so very up to date- she's due in a few eeks) one at 12, one at 20. here (newport) one at 12 and one at 19

One scan only at Yeovil for me with dd2 and dd3 (20 weeks)
