Giving birth with pre-existing prolapse

Hi, my second baby is due in a month (I have a 5 yr old daughter) and last week I experienced a cervical prolapse. The baby is safe and well and it doesn’t change my pregnancy to high risk, it’s just not very pleasant and the prolapse is likely to occur again in birth and postnatally. I had a homebirth first time and hope to again.

My challenge right now is imagining how I’m going to do the “letting go” required in birth while I still feel worried about/shocked by the prolapse. Logically I know there’s no danger but I guess I feel a bit grossed out by my own body and I’m worried birth is going to stall because I’m tensing up etc.

Has anyone faced birth with a pre existing prolapse? do you have any tips? thank you.
