Canesten for thrush whilst pregnant?

I have bought a canesten combi (peasant you insert into vagina and also the cream) to treat thrush/yeast infection.

The chemist said the peasant inserted into the vagina will be safe to use whilst pregnant? Anyone used these whilst pregnant before?

I've used this, in my first and current pregnancy. All fine.

Midwife here. You can’t take the oral tablet, but a vaginal pessary and the cream are fine

Yes I did when pregnant and it was fine.

I probably wouldn't insert a peasant in the vagina whether pregnant or not but the pessaries are fineGrin
I think the instructions say to insert them with your fingers rather than the applicator during pregnancy. You do have to make sure they go in far enough though and do them at night just before you go to bed or gravity definitely helps them find their way out pretty quicklyBlush

I had chronic thrush during my last pregnancy and was prescribed a course of these to do nightly for a few days (can't remember how many... Part of me thinks it was 3 days, another thinks 10, I'm not sure which part to listen to Grin). So yeah, thrush pessaries (definitely not peasants, though) are fine to use when pregnant.
