4 weeks or 8 weeks

Hi all, I am really confused. I tested positive last week with a faint line and now have a strong positive.
My last period was 17th Oct, that's when I came off the pill. I haven't had a period since, had light spotting on 16th nov ( when my period should have been due as I'm always on a 30 day cycle). But I tested negative then, so waited for my next period to come which should be today but I got my BFP. So now I am confused as to how far along I am. Should it be 8 weeks or 4 weeks since the spotting/ should be period?

Going by LMP assumes ovulation on day 14, as you had only just come off the pill you easily could have had a long cycle and ovulated later.
FYI your cycles were regular before because you were on the pill, that wasn't your natural cycle.
Dating will go off LMP for now, so it will be about 8 weeks and then at your first scan your date will probably be adjusted.

Hi @luxxlisbon thank you! I meant my cycles before the pills were regular. I have an antenatal appointment booked for Monday, so hopefully will get a dating scan soon to confirm.
