Pregnant right after coil removed

I am very confused ladies...

Had my coil removed 12th November, as we wanted to start trying in the new year

10th December i had very sore boobs, took a test, and it was positive, the digital showing 2-3 weeks pregnant.

Now the confusing part...after 12th november coil removal, i was bleeding on and off for 2 weeks, we didn't even have sex, only after 2 weeks, using condoms.

I am panicking, as i had 4 miscarriages as well 😪

Hi OP, was your coil copper or hormonal? If copper then this isn't all that uncommon; I had mine out May 6 of this year and I was pregnant by the end of the month. I did have a period in between and also a bit of bleeding right after, so I wouldn't necessarily worry about that if you're getting a positive test.

Congratulations btw!

@elfran yes it was the copper one

Ahh thank you, feeling a bit better now, trying to be patient and wait for an early scan in couple of weeks time, but I am anything but patient Grin

I had a mirena coil and took 1 month to conceive. I was also quite surprised it happened so quickly. But currently 28weeks! I think it's more the pill and Depo jab that take longer to conceive when you come off of themSmile
