Feeling awful at 6 weeks

Hi everyone. I’m only 6 weeks but already feeling awful. Iv got bad pains which I think is from constipation and gas, I’m wrenching all the time, I’m struggling to eat and drink, I feel like all I want to do is sleep and generally just feel absolutely pants. Iv had the pains for a few weeks but the other symptoms have just come on suddenly in the last few days. I’m just wondering if anyone has any advise to get through these early weeks when you just feel terrible? Also I would think I would feel this awful so early on. X

I'm 32 weeks now and I can safely say weeks 6-12 were the absolute worst for me, so I really feel you. The best advice I can give is be super gentle on yourself, do as little as possible, eat and drink whatever you can manage and congratulate yourself if you get through a day where you've washed, eaten and drunk something. I found lemon/lime and fizzy water helpful, having crappy TV series to zone out to and just having no expectations of myself.

I was like a nauseous zombie but by week 18 felt much much better. Don't be afraid to ask for medication if the nausea gets really bad.
