I've never bothered with smaller bottles personally as they soon up their feeds but you'll get plenty of use in the early weeks so if you've got the cash then why not :)

That’s what I thought! Maybe I shouldn’t have gotten the small ones

Should be enough and worth it. I got glass ones for this one due in March and they’re much nicer than the plastic ones which seem to go orange so quick and you won’t have the micro plastic issue to think of.

Missyox · 15/12/2020 13:51

@PaperyfishYes they are, I only used a one or two glass bottles with dc1 but mainly plastic ones. I just love how they feel and industrial they are. Couldn’t resist getting them from nuk lol

Mine are the nuk ones too. A little worried I might break them in a night feed haze- but hope they’ll be good!

Caspianberg · 15/12/2020 13:55

I mainly breastfeed, but still only use the small size now with ds 7 months. The small ones still fit 5oz

You know you can swap the teats for beaker style ones on the nuk so they can carry on using for water. The small ones with beaker teat are handy size for water with meals.

They don’t break as quick as a wine glass they are pretty strong I dropped a couple before 😂 but a heads up they get super hot once you have made a bottle if you are making them the old fashioned way with a kettle ! With my son I had to use a tea towel to shake the bottle. But I’m glad I’ve got all glass rather than plastic

Mine must've been a greedy bugger, #1 (formula fed) was on 6oz+ by 4 months - he was a proper chunk though 😂

#2 was mostly breastfed but after a lot of trial and error NUK was the only bottle she would take and they were definitely more solid than the Tommee Tippee ones I'd used with #1.

Raspberry681 · 15/12/2020 17:54

That’s exciting! I’ll be getting glass bottles too. I checked with Tommee Tippee and they’ve confirmed that glass bottles can be used with their perfect prep machine, which is handy!

Ah yes I’ve seen Tommee yippee onesie :) they look nice
