I don't know why I am writing this; hoping for some miracle maybe.

I am 36, DH 37. We have been TTC for over 7 years now. I have had two natural MCs, 1 failed IVF last year, and one IVF resulting in MC this year. The MC took 2 months to resolve which has messed up my cycles. Hopefully, it comes back to normal soon.

All my coagulation tests came back within range. AMH was 17 when measured last year. On the lower side for my age but not too bad (that's what the doc said). FSH, LH, progesterone all come back as normal. Waiting for results for karyotyping for us. Awaiting a form for some more tests.

When my GP sent me to a fertility clinic they put me straight on IVF. The gynaec there said that as I have been pregnant before they don't think anything else will help like clomid or HSG or Hysteroscopy etc.

I have hypothyroid but i take thyroid medication every morning. So it's in control. I take pre-natals and eat good (at least as much as i can). I have reduced caffeine to 1-2 cups of tea (black) a day and 1 decaff. Have coffee only once in a while. Alcohol once in a while and don't smoke. I am a vegetarian.

I know so many of you out here have been through a similar or worse journey than mine. So I wanted to see if there's anything I can do to help me get pregnant or anything you recommend to prepare for my next IVF.

Please share your story to give me some hope.

@HopeForARainbow. We were ttc for 14 months (I am 39) and nothing. One round of failed IUI in November then took a break month over December where we used Preseed for the first time. Not sure if that was the reason, but it worked. Still early days at 5 weeks. I really hope it happens for you too xx

My friend has a similar experience to yours and was trying for a number of years. She got furloughed last year and said all the stress of her job was lifted and she just decided to relax and wait it out for her next treatment. Then they just got pregnant naturally. There's not enough studies out there on the effect of stress on the body! A lot of us are not doing much at the moment with lockdown anyway but is there any commitments you can cut back on to give yourself more me-time maybe that would help?

Also I noticed a few people mention grapefruit juice but just a watch out that it interacts with some drugs if you're taking anything.

@unicornpower - I don't have an IVF scheduled yet. But looking to get one around April so going through consultations

Thank you all for your supportive comments & tips. Just wanted to update - no luck for me yet. I have tried many things from everything you have said. But nothing has worked so far. Hopefully soon :)

In my recent blood tests it came up that i have Coeliac disease. So going on gluten free diet. And low vit D, so ordered some supplements.

Hope all you guys and your loved ones are well!

Me and my partner had been trying but not trying for about 2 years as I didn't think I could cope with the pressure of labelling that we were trying for a baby.

Around Christmas I started looking into the law of attraction and manifestation and asked the universe for a sign that I'd fall pregnant and have a happy and healthy pregnancy. I picked a caterpillar for my sign cause I thought I'd see none at this time of year, then the word started popping up everywhere! My sister also randomly sent me a photo of a caterpillar one day even though she knew nothing about it!

Sounds a bit crazy but I really do believe it's why I'm currently nearly 7 weeks pregnant Smile

For me it was Ovusense. I had been using an app/ovulation sticks for months with no luck. Bought Ovusense in September and used it to track my ovulation, turned out the app was a few days out. We then followed the suggested window in October and got pregnant straight away. Definitely worth the investment IMO, and I found a discount code online so fish around if you do get one!

@Sunflowerx I'm sure the same, my manifesting journal arrived the same day as my LMP....

I had problems conceiving DC3 and fell pregnant the cycle straight after I had a HyCoSy. Obviously had also been pregnant before but they still did the test. I credit it (possibly falsely) with the subsequent pregnancy!

I have pcos and started taking metformin to regulate my cycles which worked a treat. After 6 months of trying I got pregnant but lost it at 9 weeks.

I then switched to methylfolate (the natural form of folic acid as not all women are able to properly absorb folic acid) and also started taking myo inositol every day which helps with ovulation.

After the mc I got pregnant on the second cycle but it was sadly a chemical, we took a break over Christmas and decided to try again in Jan. at this point I started taking 150mg aspirin. First month of trying again in jan I got pregnant and am now 6 weeks.

Obviously I don’t know, but I think the myo inositol helped me to ovulate every month, and I believe the metformin helps as it regulates my cycles, and the aspirin if supposed to help with implantation.

So I think it’s a combination of all these things. Best of luck to you xxx

Oh also my husband started taking a men’s health multivitamin which we think helped his swimmers!

HopeForARainbow · 18/02/2021 23:41

@Sunflowerx pls tell me more about it
