Okay so I need some thoughts. or something.. anything.

Okay so I found out I was pregnant October this year.. I was booked in for my midwife appointment but because I was so so sick I physically couldn’t get myself out of my bed to even get to my appointment. So it got moved to a later date which I wasn’t happy about as I had a miscarriage earlier this summer which was one of the worst things I’ve ever been through. I just wanted to get seen to ASAP, Any how, it gets to the weekend & I started spotting on the Saturday then it got heavier, then I passed like a weird pink / sack kinda thing.. god knows what it was it looked so bizarre. Then a few hours later I passed a pretty big clot looking thing! My heart just sank. I rang 111 straight away and they booked me in Monday morning so all Sunday I was just left thinking what the hell is going on! But I never felt like I did the time I had my miscarriage a few months Prior! Even the morning I went to the scan back in July I knew something was up I knew I was gonna get told bad news I felt it in my gut, but this time nothing.

So this is when it gets weird. So I go to my appointment Monday morning.. a 2 hour wait may I add 🤦🏻‍♀️ I go for my scan and she looks puzzled and asked me if I could be earlier then I thought so I said of course ( I have random periods ) so she said I can definitely see pregnancy there ( I did bring up the clot & the things I’d passed but that didn’t seem to bother her ) but I can’t see anything as of yet, then asked to do an internal but I refused as I was still bleeding a little & was just super uncomfortable as I got my cervix ruptured by a doctor once when I had my son a couple years ago. So they took my bloods and wanted to do a repeat in 2 days time! In them 2 days the bleeding calmed down! ( when I had my miscarriage I bled A LOT for almost 2 week it was that bad I was genuinely wearing women nappies! ( comfy as hell may I add ) so again left feeling lost & just numb from the absolute rollercoaster ride I’m being taken on. I go for my repeat bloods, she calls later that afternoon & says she’s very sorry but my bloods have dropped ( I can’t remember the number now as I instantly felt crushed ) she said to take a test in 2 weeks time. So I did and I just got a faint positive. I’ve had 3 faint positives now but I didn’t think it was worth telling them as it was dropping surely that means my pregnancy isn’t progressing right ?

Right NOW this is when it gets spooky. So (also I get people don’t like messing with this type of stuff, but I did. I hold my hands up I did it. ) So my sister, mum & I did a Ouija board a couple weeks ago, I’ve never ever done one before so I was super intrigued. So we did it all properly did a meditation before hand got all my crystals out got all Zen. Anyway my uncle who passed when I was really young came through & kept saying 17th of May over and over then he went on to say the doctors have got it wrong, he told me im 8 weeks pregnant then he went. Then my nan came through ( I was actually surprised to get spirits that know me come through ) so my Nan kept saying pregnant, little girl born 17th of May 2021. Now I swear I worked out dates and it would be about right. She kept saying the doctors got it wrong! My mind at this point was blown. We left it be I threw it to the back of my mind and went about my day to day life.! I have a 2 year old so my days full of constantly trying to entertain him so I’m constantly busy, now the last few days I’ve been feeling like a flicking sensation from the inside around my left side, I feel a lot of movement that I know isn’t a fart ( TMI I know! ) now I’m starting to question everything! Is there a way I could be pregnant and they got it wrong...

SO.. we did another Ouija board and a spirit unknown to us came through and kept getting angry saying take a test take a test pregnant. Then kept repeating infant. NOW this morning I went on my insta and I just put a # and it randomly said “#10weekspregnant” WHY WOULD IT SAY THAT!!!!! Why!! I’m a big believer in signs and things but from the time my uncle said 8 weeks it’s been 2 weeks since. So id be around that time, Sooo at this point I wanna Burry my head in a pile of sand and scream. I don’t know what to do I feel strange. Does anyone have any advice or just anything 🤦🏻‍♀️🤯

(For the record guys I never relied on a Ouija board, this was done well after I had what I believed was a miscarriage, it was my mum & sister that already had this planned & asked if I wanted to join so I agreed! This whole side of it is irrelevant I just found it weird and wanted to share.)

The only thing concerning me is the movements I’m feeling & the flicking / flutter sensations! & it was a bit weird at the hospital that they never ended up getting the doctor to examine my stomach like they said they was going to. They just came back an hour later and said I could go I felt a little neglected! I just went about my normal life then a couple weeks later I’m feeling extra tired, still nauseous at random times of the day & agin these little twinges! So I’m gonna do a test today and even if it’s the slightest positive I’m gonna contact the hospital & take it from there

This post really made me laugh, obviously not at your terrible situation I’m really sorry you are going through this, just the story around it, it’s when you got all zen I couldn’t help myself 🙊. What I would say is that a pregnancy test can still come out positive during/just after a miscarriage, I had one earlier in the year at just over 7 weeks and I was still getting positive tests 2 weeks after I had started bleeding. I could see they were fading though so I didn’t go to get checked, I just assumed it can take a few weeks for the hormones to drop off. It wasn’t a continuing pregnancy though.

When was your abdominal scan? Unfortunately it sounds like even if you were pregnant it would be way too early for you to be feeling movement. If they couldn't pick up anything on your scan then the pregnancy was either not viable or very early at that point. It doesn't seem like enough time has passed for you to now be far along enough to feel movement.

To be honest, since they couldn't see anything on an abdominal scan and you refused an internal one then there wasn't much the EPU could do. Examining your stomach doesn't tell you much when you are still early and certainly wouldn't have told them anything if they did an ultrasound and couldn't see anything.

Sorry this is happening to you, you need to ring your EPU or midwife and go in for an internal scan to check if all the tissue has passed. It is possible this is technically still a missed miscarriage even though you had bleeding.

Ridiculous. Stop using Ouija boards and grow up.

This is why I bloody hate all this spiritual woo shite. It’s ok for entertainment but when it preys on people’s fears and weaknesses it’s just wrong and your family are pretty awful for doing that IMO
I really hope you get a good result OP but rely on medicine on ouji boards (even if you did do it “properly”)

I’m sorry you’ve experienced a MC, the pain of that does ease if it’s any consolation. Perhaps have a chat with your doctor about how you’re feeling? Your mother and sister have played an extremely cruel and nasty trick on you and I honestly can’t fathom why anyone would treat someone experiencing a loss that way. Playing with Ouija boards to convince someone they may still be pregnant is absolutely deplorable and I really hope you have some people around you that truly love and care for you

With regards to the flutters, I still get them years on from having children. I still take a test because they freak me out, but my doctor explained it in terms of muscle movements and spasms that my brain has been conditioned to pay attention to due to previous pregnancies (so even when I’m not consciously paying attention, my brain still registers every small movement. It’s also called phantom kicks). You say you’ve already had a DS so perhaps this is what’s going on?

It's hard to ask advice on mumsnet op. A lot of piss takers here. I would certainly be interested in the results of your pregnancy test. I think this is all a bit strange, but interesting.

I still get the odd flutter too . My littlest is almost school age though

The Ouija side of its irrelevant I just find that bizarre! But it’s crazy how I’m feeling these little twinges & I didn’t seem to bleed for long like I did with my first miscarriage, I’m gonna do another pregnancy test today to give myself peace of mind , & I don’t know how far I am the doctors never said anything so as for the 17th of May that’s irrelevant also! I’m just puzzled on the whole thing

That means nothing. I had one miscarriage where I bled on and off for 4 weeks and another which was like a light period - same gestation each time.

@naturalyoghurtmuncher when my then youngest was 6 (eldest 8) I still felt the flutters, my now youngest is 3 and I get them every single night. The amount of tests I’ve went through this year despite being on the depo is ridiculous. I’m hoping they do eventually go away

I feel like OP needs to go get a second opinion or push for further tests if she is worried. What your family did wasn’t thought out properly . You shouldn’t have got yourself involved OP. Just setting yourself up for false hope

@Missyox I don’t think there’s a woman alive who has miscarried a child they wanted and not desperately searched for false hope. The OP doesn’t need a telling off for seeking some kind of reassurance or answers, she needs support and family that don’t play such cruel tricks on her
