I am a 2nd Year student. I am currently experiencing symptoms of pregnancy and would like to see what experienced people think, as I don't have anybody to turn to in terms of family or friends.
On 6th-13th November I had my monthly cycle. On 13th, last day of cycle, I had unprotected sex and my partner ejaculated in me several times that evening. We also had unprotected sex on 16th.
I track my cycle on app 'CLUE' and my fertility window was between 12th-18th November.
I would've expected my next period Friday 4th December as my cycle is generally 28 days.
Anyway, I was bleeding 1st-5th December, so if this was my period it came earlier than expected. My periods are ALWAYS heavy, bright red and consist of lots of clotting and intense cramps. This time, it was light pink with mucus and I only had mild cramps on day 1. The remaining 4 days I felt nothing and only bled when I went to the toilet. There were occasions where I had red blood but it wasn't heavy and was only around day 3.
I took a pregnancy test on 4th December when I expected my period and it was negative.
So I contacted Cow&Gate through Live Chat and they told me I most likely had a lighter period (which never happens). I know implantation bleeding is relatively short and this is where the confusion lies.
But I know my body and I know when I feel different. If I am pregnant I would be 5 weeks 3 days today and there is something about this instance where I truly believe I cannot overlook anything.
Symptoms are:
stitch-like feelings and twitching in pelvic area
pelvic area feeling heavy, as if it's at work
headaches
EXTREME loss of appetite (I usually eat a lot), mostly put off meat
mouth randomly tastes like blood at different points in the day
increased gag reflex when brushing teeth
nausea when food is placed in front of me and after stomaching a few mouthfuls
It could all be a coincidence and I could just be feeling under the weather. However the timings all seem too accurate and I find it hard to believe that I am not pregnant due to my partner's sperm being active around my fertility time.
I just want to see what people think as I am a student currently home for Christmas and in no means accessible to another pregnancy test. It's killing me not knowing everyday.

I also forgot to mention I am extremely emotional recently and feel very depressed. I will start crying easily at situations which is unlike me. I have a strong character and sensitivity is rare.

Can you just go to a supermarket and get a test? Alternatively order on amazon with next day delivery?
There are many affordable pregnancy tests these days, I'm not understanding why being home for Christmas means you can't test.
If you buy it at the supermarket you could use the bathroom there.

It isn't uncommon to test negative on the day your period is due, so before you are actually late. You won't know for sure until you test again and it sounds like it os obviously going to remain on your mind so the sooner you find out the more time you have to come to terms with it and make the decision that suits you best.

Good luck x

1 of my guardians has a collapsed lung during Covid-19. I live in the middle of nowhere and do not have a car or money, I am a student. That is why I can't go out easily to pick up a test.

@juicebaby judging by your symptoms it sounds like you could be but without testing you will never know. When we was trying for a baby I would over think every symptom....... good luck x

Even a small local shop will have pregnancy tests, you don't need to drive to a big shop.

Or have a look on amazon if you can't get out, you can get test for like £3. It doesn't have to be a fancy expensive one.

popcorndiva · 14/12/2020 19:07

Bit confused why you contacted Cow and Gate?

Were you on your period 6 - 13th Nov ? If so having sex on the 16th could mean you are pregnant if you say you ovulated on the 19/20th. That would mean you should have got a positive on the 4th Dec but it depends on what test you used if it was very sensitive or not.

Only way is to test again, can you not order some cheapies on Amazon surely all studen

popcorndiva · 14/12/2020 19:09

Sorry post locked out was meant to say

I thought all students had amazon prime

juicebaby · 14/12/2020 19:14

Because they offer a free online chat service regarding issues around conception and pregnancy?

I used a PoundLand test as doctors say these are just as efficient but I was sceptical.

Order a test on amazon and it will probably be here tomorrow.

As a side note are you actively trying to get pregnant?

Gemmaemilyx · 14/12/2020 19:19

Poundland ones I found are not as sensitive but definitely work!! First response and clear blue showed up for me a day or 2 sooner than Poundland but if you were pregnant it should show up on them by now depending on when you ovulated. With my first I didn't get a positive test for almost 2 weeks after my missed period. Good luck and keep us updated. Hope you get the results you want xx

swiftt · 14/12/2020 19:20

Not sure what the point of this post is if you can’t/won’t take another test. No one on the internet will be able to tell you if you’re pregnant or not. The symptoms sound like pregnancy, but that doesn’t mean much without taking another test.

juicebaby · 14/12/2020 19:23

mate it’s mad how you come here for support and get a load of fucking rude responses loool. thanks to those that genuinely have given advice xx

didn’t say i won’t take another test😂 said i don’t currently have access to one at the moment. but thanks to all you critical unhelpful people, i have one ordered now x

LittleMissLockdown · 14/12/2020 19:26

People aren't being unhelpful. You have to remember however that we are just people on the Internet, we cannot tell you if you are pregnant. You obviously know what symptoms to look out for and that you've had unprotected sex but without taking a test we actually can't be of much help.

rhowton · 14/12/2020 19:38

Why, when you are a second year student, with no car and no money, are you having unprotected sex numerous times?? You even say you track your cycle so it's not like you're oblivious to the possibility of pregnancy.

luxxlisbon · 14/12/2020 19:46

@juicebaby people aren't being unhelpful, you have been suggested several options.
No one can tell you if you are pregnant or not through an online forum, I know that isn't what you want to hear but it is the truth.
You had unprotected sex several times around ovulation and now you are late on your period so there is every chance you could be pregnant.

If you don't have £3 for a pregnancy test then I don't see what that has to do with being home for Christmas. Do you work, do you receive a student loan? When are you due to have more money? Do you have a close friend who can order one to your house?
There are options available to you, but you seem to have a reason for why you can't do any of them.

The only way you will know is if you do another test now that you are actually late.
