Implantation bleeding for 4 days

Hi mums and mums to be

This is my first ever post and I am hoping somebody is able to help me.

My last period was 19th November and I peak ovulated on 4/5th December. Since Friday I have had very light spotting, mostly pink with specks of red and only when I wipe, nothing on the panty liner at all! When I go to the loo first thing, the first wipe has been more of a watery red (but not the same colour as AF if that makes sense)! I am never early...and not due until the 20th December...

I read somewhere that after implantation, you should leave it 3 days to test to allow your body enough time to produce HCG but is it possible for implantation to last 4 days?

Would love to hear from those who have had similar experiences.

Thank you so much in advance.

Xxx

Hi, I had implantation bleeding at CD22 and CD23, nothing on CD24 and then every day from CD25 to CD31. I went to the EPU at 5 weeks + 3 and they couldn’t see much as it was too early. Called me back at 7 weeks and saw a baby measuring exactly on my dates with a heartbeat! Apparently implantation bleeding can be caused by an increase in the hormones and may also cause the cervix to be irritated (so implantation bleeding isn’t just the embryo “bedding down”)

I tested on CD23 (I ovulated on CD13) and got a positive result

I’m only 11 weeks, and have my scan next week so hoping everything will be ok!

Good luck!

Wow @Crazycatlady83 thank you so much for taking the time to respond - I really appreciate it!

CONGRATULATIONS! I’m sure everything will be more than okay - especially as you have had a scan already and seen bubba’s heartbeat!

Your experience fills me with hope! I’ve always been a heavy bleeder (sounds gross haha) but my periods are horribly heavy so I wonder if you’re prone to a heavier/longer implantation bleed if you have heavier periods...I wish I’d listened more in biology!

Thanks again for responding. It really helps hearing other ladies stories xxx

I've had several pregnancies. Never any implantation bleeding. (But always been quite light periods, so perhaps that could make a difference).

Crazycatlady83 · 14/12/2020 19:33

@MrsCbabypls how strange you say that, my periods are so heavy (and I have short cycles - 25/26 days) so maybe there is something in that theory!

Good luck I hope you get your positive result!

MrsCbabypls · 14/12/2020 20:17

@pinkdragons @Crazycatlady83

Thank you both! Fingers crossed this is it for me. I had a miscarriage last year and didn’t have any implantation bleeding at all then. All I can do is wait and hope! Xx

Good luck @MrsCbabypls

This is my second pregnancy (my DS is 5) and I didn’t have implantation bleeding in my first pregnancy. This pregnancy has been so so different to my first!

Heartofglass12345 · 14/12/2020 21:28

I had implantation bleeding on my last 2 pregnancies (sadly the second one was a miscarriage) so knew I was pregnant before a test. It was very short for me though. It was like a short cramp then a bit of blood and that was it, both times. U bled a few times on my youngest though, trying to scare me i think he was lol.
Good luck Smile

@Heartofglass12345 - very sorry to hear about your miscarriage. There’s simply no worse feeling in the world. Do you tend to have heavy periods? Trying to see if my theory works!! X

@Crazycatlady83 the spotting has stopped completely today and I did a test first thing and it has the faintest of faint line. My husband can see it too but it could very well be an indent! Will test again tomorrow 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Just in case anyone still watching or looks back - I had my scan yesterday! Everything went well and saw the baby wriggling around! Moved 3 days forward on EED so for me it was just implantation bleeding or unexplained!

Robins21 · 14/05/2021 18:24

Hey its so nice to see a positive story. Im u sure if i have implantation bleeding as i have continued to spot on and off for 6 days( from day 22 of cycle) i had a MMC 9 weeks ago, my first cycle was ok but my 2nd is either really odd or im praying for a miracle and its IB. Did your doctors elaborate on IB and anything more you can share with me id really appreciate xx

Hi All, I’m at currently 21. I am looking for some success stories. I have now had 3 recurrent miscarriages 1 being a chemical pregnancy, 1 being a missed miscarriage where I saw a heartbeat at 8 weeks but baby measuring 7 weeks. At my 12 week scan baby had shrunk down to the size of 5weeks. And I have also had a blighted ovum. We had put off trying for a couple of months to speak with the specialist who has prescribed me 5mg folic acid, progesterone and folic alpha. Me and my partner have now been trying since Christmas and I am feeling really nervous 😟 I am so worried I will miscarry again, Please someone give me hope🤞🏽
