@Cupcakefairy12 this is my second too, with my first I was super chilled but this one I’m nervous, maybe it’s normal to feel that way?

@Cupcakefairy12 better get buying then lol😆

OP posts:
Cupcakefairy12 · 15/12/2020 05:51

🙈 I keep saying I’ll buy in January. We’re moving house in January (I’m crazy I know) so I’m more focused on that. Im buffered if he comes early 🤭

Missyox · 15/12/2020 05:54

Oh gosh! Good luck with your moving:).

My anxious and stressy self wouldn’t managed 😂😂😂😂

@Missyox my anxiety and stressy self Is not coping with it either. But everything is going to be fine. Think it’s going to be a very busy time for hospitals when we give birth, that’s my biggest concern right now 😂

Missyox · 15/12/2020 06:27

Oh yeah definitely, here’s to hoping Covid won’t be as bad! I’m feeling anxious that you have to be in established labour before birth partner is allowed to come

Heu, due 20th Feb with our little girl ❤ Ive threw stuff in a case for me but not packed, I've been finished up work for a couple of weeks but not bored enough yet to pack it. Might start next week & do babys after christmas, partly cause i havent a clue what to pack!!
Baby is so active all the time now, but i agree her movements are different feeling than before, less kicks more wriggling and rolling. Is anyone else really struggling to sleep?? Think my partner is going to put me in the spare room soon for I spend most of the night tossing and turning 🤣

Missyox · 15/12/2020 10:13

@nursey1993. I’m clueless about what to pack but I shall do an online order of what I think I need. Omg sleep what is that? lol. I’m struggling to sleep too. Went on a hotel break without dc and shock I couldn’t sleep the whole night so much for a good night rest 😂

JustAnotherUserinParadise · 15/12/2020 12:16

What kind of bag are you all taking? I think I've got everything I need, just need to collect it together and actually pack it! Worried if I turn up with my small rolly suitcase they'll laugh at me!

Missyox · 15/12/2020 12:20

I took a small suitcase last time as well ! Well two but this time I plan on taking a small suitcase for baby and a overnight bag for myself maybe

OP posts:
nursey1993 · 15/12/2020 12:50

I really wanted a night away but dont see the point in lying in someones elses bed wide awake, may as well stay in my own and not have to pay for the privelege 🤣🤣 I can feel a spa trip calling my name once baby is born lol ....
Ive a small suitcase for me, I dont plan to stay in long but with dont know how birth will go & with all this covid by sounds of it partners will be asked to leave again so will need everything just incase! Dont know what to do for baby because I dont know if i fancy bringing her changing bag into hospital cause of covid, just incase 🤣 Im a nurse in the hospital but still be funny about how clean they actually are lol

Missyox · 15/12/2020 12:56

@nursey1993 oh it was more of a one day break kind of trip enjoyed it all apart from the sleepless night lol. Oh gosh yeah it’s questionable how clean they are I would take her nappy bag either. I’m particularly funny with taking an actual baby bottle to the hospital. Find it a bit eh😂😂😂

TisTheSeasonToEatLots · 15/12/2020 13:51

@nursey1993 did they make you take early mat leave with being a nurse? I’m due a few days after you and I’m not finishing until the week before the due date (I’m working from home so I may as well be getting paid and save my maternity leave). What are you going to do for 9/10 weeks, I’d be so bored!

BattenburgBerry · 15/12/2020 13:59

I’ve got 9 weeks and 4 days to go, due on the 20th Feb. Got all the big stuff sorted like pram and car seat and baby bedroom but I haven’t got any of the stuff yet for my hospital bag. No nappies, no wipes, no nipple cream, no baby clothes. Think I need to do an online order ASAP! I have got a bag to put it all in though so at least that’s something ha ha! 😂

Missyox · 15/12/2020 14:14

@BattenburgBerry online shopping is so much easier esp with Covid, I can happily say all of babies things have been brought online minus a pack of muslins lol!

nursey1993 · 15/12/2020 14:28

@TisTheSeasonToEatLots yeah we have to go off at 28 weeks, I work on high risk ward (Respiratory) so staying there with the covid ward literally the other half of our ward wasnt an option 🙈 Tbf, because of christmas coming up I've been kept busy but I know January will probs drag! Thats why I'm trying to leave the packing as long as I can so Ive something to do 🤣 My Maternity Leave isnt starting until 36 weeks though!!
We thankfully have most stuff got in now, just need wee bits and pieces, I just need to go through her clothes now and see what is gonna be her coming home outfit etc and hopefully get a few bits on sale after xmas for her as well!

lollypop345 · 15/12/2020 16:51

6 weeks 6 days left... due 1st feb! So exciting

husbandcallsmepickle · 15/12/2020 17:14

Also due 20th February!! Mostly ready although I haven't done much wrt hospital bags for me and baby. In on 29/12 for a growth scan.

JustAnotherUserinParadise · 15/12/2020 18:14

Thanks guys! think I'll just take the suitcase - would rather have one bigger bag than several small ones, can just see me or DH leaving one somewhere otherwise!
I've washed all the baby clothes, just need to sort and put them away!
I may have been tempted by a couple of really cute 6-9month outfits, so those are going in a box in the loft for a while!

Missyox · 15/12/2020 18:35

Exciting times ahead guys! I haven’t started washing babies clothing yet!😂😂 I have to get started soon

Missyox · 16/12/2020 08:01

Any ladies saw the pre packed hospital bags ?😂😂 a bit pricy but least you don’t have to worry about packing for you and baby. Comes with everything you need 😂

JustAnotherUserinParadise · 16/12/2020 09:55
