Sorry I know this is pregnancy forum but thought I maybe able to get some advice on here about post pregnancy
How many mg daily should I take to help increase milk supply? Capsules I have are 1500mg and it says to take two daily but I read somewhere that anything below 3500mg daily has no affect, should I take 3 a day?

I don't know about fenugreek but are you ensuring you're eating and drinking properly?

I exclusively expressed for 6 months with all of my DC and so I could tell when there were any changes.

The main ones which resulted in a drop in supply were when I drank less than 3l of water a day and when I didn't eat enough. It took around 2/3 days to see any improvement if it dropped. I also noticed a big difference in supply when I increase my dairy intake but that also gave 1 of my DC a rash 😔. So I had to eat more oats instead.

Good luck @gg321. Early days are tough. Be kind to yourself. Do what you need to do to get through xx

Have you spoken to a lactation consultant? Fenugreek should only be taken under their advice and support, if a low milk supply has been confirmed.

I can't remember how much I took for bfing sorry, but it really worked - I think I just followed the advice of 'until you start smelling like maple syrup' lmfao which really does happen and is weird!!

I would speak to a lactation consultant as mine told me in some cases Fenugreek can actually DECREASE supply!
