I have terrible sore throat, swollen glands etc what can I have?

I know paracetamol but can I have some strong strepsils or something to numb my throat? or throat spray?

when i was pregnant i had much the same thing....the chemist ummed and arred and then came out with..."honey and lemon.."

Its SO sore to swallow would just like to numb it a bit!

As if I wasnt already struggling to sleep!!!!

i know it wasnt any help but thats what i got told. honey and lemon didnt help either!
i ended up having loads of chilli and garlic...and that didnt really work either..........

I have had tonsilitus/glands for the whole freaking time.....doctor told me no strepsils as they contain asprin. Midwife said you can get tea tree lozangers from the health food shops that are safe in PG.

This time I have been on paracetamol....i am not being a martyer this time..oh no
