I’m not sure if this is normal or not, but I’m having really bad bouts of low mood at the moment. I’m 14+3. I’ve been on the edge of tears all day today, my mum phoned and I got so upset and started crying for no reason really. I’ve just ignored a call from my friend because I can’t face talking to anyone right now.

I’ve been having a really tough time with things the past few weeks, I’ve had an unexpected house move and the flat I’ve moved to has various issues with heating so it’s been a horrible time really. I’m now worrying about how I’m going to afford everything. I’m on my own, and support from baby daddy was great in the beginning but has pretty much disappeared now. I can’t even seem to get a reply to a text from him these days.

I love my job but I don’t even want to go to work. I haven’t properly cooked for weeks. I feel like I have no motivation to do anything. I want to be excited about the pregnancy but all I do at the moment is worry - how will I afford to pay my debts when I’m on SMP, how will I afford life when I go back to work, can I even go back to work, I’ll need to work part time. There are so many thoughts swimming round my head.

I feel really isolated at the moment, I think the virus situation is contributing to that but I also don’t have that many friends. I have 2 really close girlfriends, one of whom has just gotten into a serious relationship and so hasn’t had much time for me, and the other has mental health problems so also has been quite distant recently. My family are around an hour away and so supportive, but I just feel like I’m in a bit of a hole.

I’m not sure what I’m looking for here, I just needed to vent I think.
