Hi!
I'm really hoping someone can share some positive light on this.
This is my second child and I had an early scan with my first but i was nearly 8 weeks
Gone in today and was told I'm 6+1 saw heart beat also.
She said she's concerned because the sac shape looks abnormal and slightly small and now I'm panicking like mad.
She's booked me back in for the 29th but I'm just not feeling hopefully and I cannot relax at all.
Has anyone had similar or know of similar stories?
She didn't shed much light onto anything at all.
Egg yolk on right :)

Was the heartbeat strong and the baby otherwise measuring what it should for your dates?

One of my twins had a very small sac (half the size of the other) and looked totally different but I read about upping water intake so drank until I felt like I was literally sloshing and by 10 weeks the sac was looking much better x

It was and going by LMP I'm 7 weeks but she put me at 6-+1 which I assumed as I know I ovulated "late". I just can't seem to relax over it at all.

I know it's an anxious time but if the heartbeat is strong and you are not far off your dates if you know you ovulated late then the signs are promising x

Risks

Oooo not risks!

I'm so tired I think I will try sleep and see if I feel more relaxed in the morning, just feel like I've seen what's going to end in a miscarriage potentially :(1

My private today suggested my placenta is thick and has black cystic marks. I'm 7+4 and have no idea what to I feel so sad I don't want to carry a baby until 12 weeks I can't have but also need to wait it out.

If you can get yourself to another private scan but with gynaecologist as my friend has this with a private scan and scared the life out of her the had another scan with a gynaecologist and all was fine. This was a private scan with a gynaecologist and a lot of private hospitals offer them.

georgiaerin · 16/12/2020 14:25

Hi @DMT1982 how many weeks was she please?
I have another NHS scan 29th I unfortunately can't afford another private scan at all.
Baby is all growing fine heartbeat etc just this placenta thing :(

She was around 6/7 weeks xx

georgiaerin · 16/12/2020 14:46

@DMT1982 thank you. I feel better today about things it's just not knowing at all.
Did she have both large placenta and black spaces?

DMT1982 · 16/12/2020 15:04

I’m not saying there wasn’t but that was what sticks in my mind and she was beside herself with worry but for no reason after the next scan showed all was fine so keeping fingers crossed for you xx

georgiaerin · 16/12/2020 15:21

@DMT1982 I'm trying to just be healthy and forget about it at the moment so rubbish but nothing I can do! Xx

The waiting is horrible I know as I’m currently 9 weeks and have brown spotting/discharge and 12 week scan is an age away but we just have to distract ourselves and stay positive xx

Hi girls.
Unfortunately baby didn't have a heartbeat on 29/12 and I had a d&c 2 days ago, suspected partial molar pregnancy.
I am absolutely heartbroken.

I'm so very sorry to read that. I hope that you are able to be kind to yourself and grieve the loss of your little one.

DMT1982 · 01/01/2021 23:07

@georgiaerin - so sorry you’ve lost your little one, it’s heartbreaking and I’m sending you the biggest hug. You’re not alone and if you want some support from myself and others going through the same (I had a D&C 2 days ago as well) then please come and join us on the thread called support following a Miscarriage or MMC. It won’t take away the pain you’re feeling but it may help chatting to others going through similar experiences xxx
