Hi all,

So 11th December is my due date! Woohoo We made it... but now I'm wondering if this baby of mine is going to make an appearance any time soon. I am a FTM & have done lot's of reading about the signs to look out for when labour is around the corner but so far I have had none of them apart from needing the loo a bit more frequently for no.2 and some nausea in the evenings.

My question is did any of you go into labour without experiencing the braxton hicks, waters breaking, mucus plug losing, bump dropping rigmoral that we are told we should experience?

Yes I did. Im only 18 weeks atm but with first baby I was 5 days late with not one sign of baby coming. I had the odd feeling of lower backache and I thought oh this is maybe the start of it but nothing ever came of it. Then I sat down to my dinner one night didnt feel upto eating it. I didnt feel sick or anything just had a bit of an unsettled feeling so I went to bed early at about 9. Then at about 1.30am I woke up with non stop contractions and arrived at hopsital at just after 2. I was 5cm dialated still no show, no waters broke or anything. I had non stop contractions i cant even remember when my waters broke but at 6.10am he arrived. Hoping this ones as easy.

Happy Due Date :). I had no signs at all. I was 10 days over and I had weeded the drive and washed the cars (I was so bored) and went into labour that evening at 8:30, baby born at 4:36 next morning :)
Excited for you!

My bump didn't drop I had her feet in my ribs most of the way through labour. She was head down but not engaged at my 38 week checkup (38+1). My waters broke at 38+5 as if I was on a TV show and she was born 12h later at 38+6. Prior to my waters going I had no hints of labour - no braxon hicks or loss of mucus plug. 1

Zero signs until I had my first contraction. Didn't lose plug until I was well into established labour.

As scary as this is this gives me hope of not going too over or potentially having to be induced! Lots of walking today so hopefully that will spur him on :) xx
