I’m 19 weeks tomorrow and I keep getting them too. Dr google says it’s normal, so I haven’t text my midwife, but I am wondering if I should.

I know that was of no help to you at all, I’m sorry 😂

I'm roughly just about 5 weeks and had lots recently, I'm guessing it probably is normal tbh!

physicskate · 11/12/2020 07:25

I did in early pregnancy. They ran loads of bloods and all was normal for me. Not a bad idea to ring gp about it. Though mine weren't bothered after the bloods came back and I still had them.

Hey I’m now 13 weeks pregnant at 7 weeks pregnant I started getting them it was horrible it made me feel so light headed and didn’t feel right in my chest ! I got a 24 hour heart trace tones of bloods done got kept over night but they ruled it down to the pregnancy’s just like you didn’t happen with my first born ! At 13weeks now I get them maybe once a week after a nap if that , they will calm down I know it feels so strange but the more upset you get the worse you will feel you got this x

I had this loads in 1st trimester along with low blood pressure (86/52 one day - felt like crap!) Seems to have cleared up in 2nd trimester. I just assumed it was normal (which is odd for me as I usually worry about everything!)

SunnySideUp2020 · 11/12/2020 10:46

Had it in 1st trimester for a week and MW sent me for ECG to check.
All was good and she just told me to do breathing exercises 😊
It never happened since

But she said better to check these things as normally it's hormones but you just never know.

Taytotots · 11/12/2020 10:53

Can be normal. Mine were caused by severe anaemia though. Worth getting checked.

Disappointedkoala · 11/12/2020 10:53

I had them late on (about 35 weeks) and it was terrifying! I was doing hypnobirthing breathing techniques trying to relax. Neither 111 or the MAU seemed that bothered as I didn't have any other issues or concerns but it's probably worth going to the GP to be checked out especially if you've got a murmur.

mollieangel123 · 11/12/2020 15:27

Thanks girls! 111 services come out and done some observations and everything seems fine which is good! If it gets worse Iv been told to ring back ASAP xx

They did also say this maybe due to my anemia xxx

I’m getting this too and it’s horrible isn’t it? For me it started yesterday and happens for a couple of hours after I eat, no matter what I eat. Have booked a gp appointment for Tuesday but they weren’t too concerned

Vicalam · 11/12/2020 23:46

I've started getting this at 29 weeks but found out at my 28 week blood test I'm anaemic. Some days it's been really bad, feeling like I'm going to pass out, not being able to catch my breath, rang MAC that it just sounds like symptoms of aneamia. Been on iron tablets for a week and it does seem to be getting a little better. Always best to get checked out though.
