Hello all, so I spent 100 quid on aden and anais websites a week or two ago . That’s for 6 large swaddles and 6 muslins squares. Do you think I made a good purchase?

Depends on whether you have the disposable income to do so. Nothing wrong with buying something nice if you can afford it.

thecakebadge · 10/12/2020 06:34

You’re not stupid but I’d send them back unless you need them urgently. This kind of stuff always goes in the sales. Also TK Max often have this brand if you want it specifically. But if not then look at other large muslins, A and A are not really much superior to any others IMO. John Lewis do nice big swaddles.

MySunShine2018 · 10/12/2020 06:38

Ah I don’t need them urgently but I am preparing for when LO arrives. I didn’t know TK max did them. I suppose I was in hurry to get some. And they seemed decent. I didn’t keep the receipt when I received my order. Told my mum and she thought I was crazy to spend that much

As pp said That all depends how much disposable income you have to spare.

We were gifted a few A&A muslins and we also have a couple of their sleeping bags. I really like them. I don't think there's anything wrong with buying more premium products if you can afford them - we had some cheap muslins too and they haven't lasted as well.

JanetPudding · 10/12/2020 06:47

They're beautiful to look at but I found they were very thin and shrank when washed. I preferred the cheap and cheerful bundle I bought from Amazon - and we ended up with 20 of them which if A&A would have bankrupted us.

MySunShine2018 · 10/12/2020 06:47

Yes, When I ordered pricing wasn’t really an issue just wanted to know if they are good quality or not. Dare not tell other half the actual price of how much I spent lol

If you’ve ordered online you don’t need a paper receipt to return them. Your order confirmation is sufficient.

MySunShine2018 · 10/12/2020 06:49

That’s why I ordered them I wanted something that would last rather than get something cheap and having to replace it etc

DS is 16 months and I still use our A&A ones and look fine. Most of the other muslins we had (primark, Superdrug, M&S, Asda) all gave up the ghost long ago.

MySunShine2018 · 10/12/2020 06:54

@mynameiscalypso I brought a pack from Asda before I considered ordering from A&A. But I don’t have hope they will last. With my DS I didn’t use A&A but you don’t really think of these stuff when it’s your first lol

I did find it was helpful to have some cheaper ones for clearing up particularly disgusting messes! 😂

MySunShine2018 · 10/12/2020 06:58

@mynameiscalypso I’ll make sure I stock up then😂😂

£100 is a lot but if you can afford it and are happy with them, that's fine! To be honest muslins were the most useful thing we had and I even use them now (my baby is 18 months). I saved my A&A to stitch into a little blanket with other old clothes too. They also make really good cloths for dusting and cleaning windows when baby doesn't need them anymore 🤣 they're ones are super handy to cover up when you're breastfeeding too. A good investment I'd say!

MySunShine2018 · 10/12/2020 07:11

Yeah 100 quid was the max I would spend although was very tempted to order more😂😂 so many different ones to pick ! Thank you all for your opinions much appreciated

I got given a three pack of those massive muslins. Never used them. Couldn't work out what they were meant to be for.

vinoelle · 10/12/2020 08:22

I found A&A really disappointing. Really average quality,

JanetPudding · 14/12/2020 19:20

@MySunShine2018 They're on 25% off today on Amazon...
