Anyone become pregnant straight after a miscarriage?

I had my second miscarriage a month ago today and just found out I'm pregnant again I'm really nervous this time around with it been straight after I haven't even had a period yet but had a negative test over a week ago so I know it's a new pregnancy.

I'm going to ring my doctors tomorrow to see if there's anything they can give me to support me carrying this pregnancy (heard aspirin and progesterone are common). Anyone taken these?

This will be my 4th pregnancy now I've had a successful one 3 years ago with my daughter and then 2 miscarriages this year now does anyone have any advice or experiences I can take hope from?

Me! I had an early loss, two months later a mmc, it took 6 months before I got pregnant again. That turned into another early loss. And I got pregnant the following month. I’m now 26+5.

Have hope, you have had a baby before so chances are you will again. 🌺

@TheFoz thank you & congratulations! If you don't mind me asking was everything natural or did you take anything to support pregnancy?

I did. I miscarried starting during the night before my first midwife appointment at what I believe was 12 weeks. Had to have a D&C

Nd er had my period and my MIL scared me half to death telling me they likely missed something. Went to GP who sent me for a scan and viola - there was my darling daughter who is now mid 20s. Had more children after her as well.

I had 2mc one immediately after the other earlier this year in April and May. Im now in the second trimester so fingers crossed for all of us.

TheFoz · 10/12/2020 21:41

@GeeHO98, it was a completely spontaneous and natural conception. The one thing i did do was to reduce stress, I had been working 6 days a week and I went down to 5 days. Doing that ensured as well that I was eating better.

Hey OP, my story is so similar to yours. I’ve had 2 miscarriages as well. One in August and the last one on 13 November. I used opk to track when I was ovulating after that and then dtd... just had my bfp yesterday. Wasn’t expecting it at all. I’m shocked, nervous, excited, anxious... I’m really hoping this is the one. I can’t take another mc. Hope yours goes well too. Let us know how you get on. My fourth pregnancy too. I have a little boy who’s just turned 4 so can’t wait to give him a sibling.
Have you told your partner or saving it for Christmas surprise?? ☺️ Baby dust to all x🌈🌈

GeeHO98 · 12/12/2020 11:09

@Lille4 congratulations! I hope you get your rainbow baby! 🌈
And I've told him but I'm worrying it could be left over hormones from my miscarriage now even tho I'm certain I had a negative test before. Just nerves isn't it going through it again as you'll know

If you don't mind me asking have doctors or pregnancy unit offered you a scan to check everything left or anything? Im thinking of ringing my epu back up to ask for a scan to be sure

Unfortunately highly unlikely you'd get progesterone or aspirin or any support from your GP. Even most Miscarriage clinics won't prescribe these. Also most EPUs won't do reassurance scans at the moment unless you've previously had an ectopic- sadly it's very much a case of wait and see

BigBox · 12/12/2020 13:13

I had a mc and immediately fell pregnant with my daughter the month after. Has to have a scan at 7 weeks to date the pregnancy (due to lack of period between mc and falling pregnant).

All went well with the pregnancy and I had a second child too.

It's easy to say but not easy to do - try not to worry. Congratulations and good luck xx

GeeHO98 · 12/12/2020 13:16

@ivfbeenbusy yes I've been told I can't have aspirin etc yet unless I have investigations after a 3rd miscarriage but I wasn't turned down a scan i'm going to ring up Monday and say I want it so hopefully find out soon either way

Happened to a friend of mine - the resulting pregnancy has just graduated from Cambridge Grin.

Flowers OP, it will be a very stressful time for you - fingers crossed all goes well this time, and sorry to hear about your earlier losses

JingleCatJingle · 12/12/2020 13:25

Me! I had a miscarriage in Feb (10 weeks), delayed ovulation and then was pregnant the following cycle. All went well (it was 10 years ago).
I took a lot of iron supplements and got DH to improve his diet as well.
I also took baby aspirin when pregnant just in case.

Fantafanta · 12/12/2020 13:51

I am hoping for this month but not sure. Potentially late at CD29 but they have varies from 21-32 days so hard to tell. We started TTC July 2019 and had a miscarriage in Jan 2020 at 14 weeks although essentially was around 5 weeks. We had no idea so was a big shock and very difficult. I had a further miscarriage very early and quick in May 2020 and have had some unusual symptoms and chronic UTIs back to back for months. Finally been scanned and they have found retained pregnancy tissue that has calcified but cannot get an appointment probs until Jan 2021 so I'm in massive unknown. Am I ok? Can I conceive? Can I successfully carry? Full of doubt and worry.

Confratulations Flowers
My co-worker did and had a textbook pregnancy

@GeeHO98 I haven't had the chance to tell my gp yet as I only just found out.
After my second mc they pretty much made it clear you won't get much in terms of extra scans or checks until you've had 3 mc sadly. Not sure if I can request an early scan for reassurance. I know most people just go private those.
I told my husband and he said it's nerve wracking how we can't be excited... sorry to anyone who has to go through this multiple times. Praying for a positive outcome this time for us all.
Thanks everyone for sharing, I feel so encouraged by your posts. I'm really holding my breath now until we get to 12 weeks at for now 🌈🌈
