Bump or bloating?!

Hey,

This is going to sound like such a silly question... but how do you tell the difference between bloating and the start of a bump? And is it even possible to have a slight bump at 5 weeks pregnant?

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I can’t remember showing this early and didn’t even think it was possible?! But my stomach looks flat at the top and then under my belly button there is a ‘bump’ and it looks like how my bump started at about 12 weeks with my first and second?!
Has anyone else had this?

Thank you

@Mumlifeof2
It won't be a baby/uterus bump yet, but bloating is definitely the first stage of looking pregnant! Congrats! X

I found the bloat really fluctuated but the bump was more constant

For me I think the bloat finally stopped when my stomach stopped looking like a “b” shape and more of a sloping “D” shape. Not sure if that makes sense! From what you’ve said it sounds more like bloat! Don’t think my bloating stopped until about week 16 but this is my first baby

Don’t know. This is baby 4 for me and I have had a definite bump from around 11 wks. At 5 wks even I still looked normal and I think my abdominal muscles are pretty shot!! I suspect it’s more likely to be bloat but you never know! Congratulations 🎉
