Holiday at 30 weeks?

Hi! I’m trying to get pregnant, I have a 5 year old already, except if I fall pregnant this month I’ve worked out I’ll be around 30 weeks when we fly to and from our holiday planned in June/July 2021 to Ibiza.

Am I silly for considering getting pregnant when I’ll be 30 weeks during our holiday? Has anyone have experience of holidays this pregnant? Stupidly I’m also super self conscious and worry I’ll feel gross and fat in a bikini too 😞 but have been waiting for ages for the right time to be pregnant after finishing my degree and being in my job long enough to get maternity pay I don’t want to wait any longer! 🙈

There’s no reason you couldn’t travel at 30 weeks unless medically advised not too, I think it’s impossible to plan your conception around a holiday. It’s also not really worth stressing about until you’re pregnant. If you don’t want to be 30 weeks pregnant on holiday then wait a bit longer until you start trying but be prepared that it may happen the first time or could take months or even years.

I think if this year has taught us anything it’s that we can’t plan our life around unknown events.

I think you can travel up to 28 weeks and then after that you need a letter from dr/midwife to say you’re safe to travel. You may find that some airlines won’t accept you and that travel insurance is difficult.

When ttc i was arranging my life around "if i fall pregnant this month", took 9 months total.
So my advice is make your plans and WHEN you are pregnant plan around pregnancy!
Also with covid, it's hard to know what june july 2021 will look like travel wise.
So my advice is don't bother overthinking this one.
Especially the bikini part 😐 when you are 30 weeks pregnant i don't think you qualify as fat and gross!!!!
