Hi guys, I hope you can offer some advice. bit of a long one (sorry)

I have been TTC for a few months and wasnt really expecting anything this month as havent had much in the way of symptoms. AF was due yesterday.

On sunday there was light brown spotting and then light pink later that afternoon, I thought flo was here but noticed it was different to normal and was very confused as usually for me, when it starts..it is heavy straight away. Then there was nothing (hasnt been anything since). So decided to take a test, more to rule it out.

Took a cheap dip test and thought I saw very slight shadow. sent to a friend and she thought she could too. I had some first responses so took one of them that evening. Faint 2nd line but definitely there. Took another in the morning jsut to make sure and it is fainter and the line doesnt seem to be straight like the other.

I have attached the image. Top test is the first one I did and the bottom is the one the following morning. Can anyone else see it isnt straight?

I have taken another cheap dip one this morining and I can see a line but its so faint and wont pick up on a camera. Just confusing really. Would love some advice or something as its confusing.

The lines are a little more noticeable in person. pictures didnt pick them up well due to not great lighting.

They look like faint lines to me - definitely pink not like an evap line. All you can really do now is wait - it can take some time for the line to darken. Ideally take another test in about a week and see if you get a darker line.

Makes sense to act as if PG - start taking folic acid (if not already) and not drinking etc

I know it's frustrating, but the only thing to do is wait (AT LEAST) 48 hours and test again.

Hello can you help me please I got sterilized 3 years ago and today I had a faint positive test and the line has been there for over 7 hours should I worry I have had 5 children and never had a false positive before

calimommy · 09/12/2020 20:01

@JadaMarie92 I would take those as positive tests. In 48 hrs they should be darker.

@Haz3014 how old are you? Could you be starting the menopause?

Haz3014 · 09/12/2020 20:36

I'm 41 and could that give me a postive sign. I've just checked and it's still saying postive

JadaMarie92 · 09/12/2020 20:44

Thanks guys. I will test again in a few days and see what happens. I am taking it as positive as never had false positives before.

@JadaMarie92 congrats btw xxx

@Haz3014 I've not experienced this but I've seen other posters in threads who had the same and turned out to be premenopausal. The alternative is that you are pregnant and your tube tie has failed. I would seek advice from your GP for both though. You obviously need to be sure and rule out a pregnancy since your tests would indicated one!

I will do that thank you for your reply. I will let you know
