Miscarriage?

I'm about 6-7weeks pregnant. I had light bleeding on Thursday which was brown and had a scan at the epau which showed a baby and heartbeat. Bleeding stopped Saturday. Started again yesterday much heavier and bright red. I phoned the epau because the bleeding was worse and they said all I could do is wait for my 12 weeks scAn(in January) and phone back if I was soaking a pad in an hour. I'm filling a two-three pads a day. I'm almost sure I'm having a miscarriage but I can't wait in limbo until January to have it confined. Will the bleeding definitely get heavier? Is there anything I can do?

I'm so sorry you are going through this. I hope you are OK?

I would try to get hold of your GP and they should give you an immediate referral back to the EPU for a scan to check. They should not be making you wait until January!

I cant make a comment on whether it is a miscarriage or if the bleeding will get worse, but 2/3 pads sounds like a lot :( . I had a missed miscarriage and went down the surgical route, the few days I had in between being told and having the surgery, it was very light spotting only.

Sending you love xx

I'm so sorry you're going through this. Agree with PP, you absolutely should not be left to wait until January.

Get an appointment as soon as you can - even if you have to tell them you're soaking a pad in an hour.

Best of luck OP xxx

@happylittlechick hello, lovely, I am so sorry you're going through this. I sadly had a miscarriage just over a week ago at 6 weeks. Mine started off as bleeding and then I soon passed small blood clots. I then woke with intense and excruciating cramps and then passed tissue. I rang 101 and the on call GP told me to attend A&E. They then organised a scan in a few days time. There was no baby on my scan, my pregnancy test said positive but my hormone levels were really low. You need to call your GP or 101, asking you to wait until January is ludicrous and cruel xx
